seeing her in the PV was confusing at first, i purposely avoided as many spoilers as i humanly could and after reading how V0 is about urban legends and mysteries my confusion cleared up and it got me hyped up thinking i would see more of the occult research society, i like how this volume ties perfectly with the tsuchinoko event being so focused on social media with how the characters talk to each other usually and how Tsubasa has a blog about that sort of thing, i expect to see her soon as well.i think it would be funny if the occult group was on the edge of finding something big and failed every time to the point they think kivotos may have no mysteries at all while everyone around them was freaked, i can already see them finding nothing while exploring slumpia just for Rena to go "i told you mimesis are not real" while another group fights animatronics, perhaps they could tie slumpia's lore to Tsumugi's keychain?.i was writing this on the previous thread but by the time i finished sorting my thoughts it was already time to jump to the next one so i just copied and pasted it here

This definitely isn't the end of the Gehenna volume. Mayumi, Karen, and Shoko are supposed to be the main characters for the volume (no matter how evil Shoko is). This was only the introduction. Something else is probably gonna take the reigns as the big bad. Either the Thunder Emperor returns or something new like a raid from the Library of Lore/Omen.

Reading done. In short, the character writing was great, but I found the plot writing was pretty lacking.This could've been a thing in act 1, but this is act 2. It was a public war declaration and several days have passed. Where is the President? Where is anyone from any of the other schools who have intelligence networks contacting Sensei regarding this? Sensei here in general is just a center of gravity gathering resistance, but it's not like he even did anything in the most hype moment. Mayumi and Karen were sidelined to be pure support characters way too early, though the conclusion with Shouko is fairly satisfying. If you're going to go all out on everyone fighting back, then involve Kayoko too, since you clearly showed her as part of the original resistance.But anyway, to say some good stuff, Makoto keeps on being the coolest motherfucker around, and I'm a sucker for all the "I'm proud of you" senpai-kouhai scenes. I want to lick Shouko's tears. The anime part was pretty cool.Also I wish they baited with some new characters at the end of the chapter, Bodensatz or Storm, doesn't matter which.
