I’ve created the ultimate no button click character. Righteous fire with 4 flask mage blood and used when full on the remaining flask. I have 140% baseline walking speed but it buffs to 160% as soon as something dies and has full uptime after that. I just run around and everything exploods. I just thought that was fun. All my previous builds were complete bricks

It's safe to say that this event or mini-league was a failure. Poe 2 endgame progression is clearly designed for longer leagues, and a reset like this didn't do it any favors. Imo 2-3 major leagues a year is the best option.

I've been thinking about how they could improve the longevity of the leagues, and it feels like they've already done just about everything possible. We have more currency sinks than ever before with corrupt stuff, rare buffs from expeditions, and they recently even added stakes where you can lose everything.

I think they need to take the atlas points out of the entire arbiter questline. All of these maps within the walls would feel more impactful we we could attempt them with a fully allocated atlas tree. Right now its better to just rush the boss in these maps with white maps just to finish the questline as quickly as possible. This doesn't feel right. In poe1 it feels a bit better because the game forces you to run magic>rare>Corrupted rare maps. Poe2 doesn't require this for some reason. This is part of the reason why the game stops feeling challenging. They need to force some difficulty into the progression to make it less boring.

I spent most of this league following a pretty safe build and it works exactly like it should. Good damage, good defenses, clears maps without much drama.Then yesterday I made a second character just to mess around with a skill I liked. The damage is awful compared to my main, I keep running out of mana and I've already respecced the tree twice because I had no idea what I was doing.And I'm having way more fun.There's something really satisfying about finding a weird interaction yourself, even if it turns out to be terrible. On my main I mostly just check if the next upgrade is worth it. On this character I'm actually looking at skills and thinking "wait, what if I do this?"Maybe I've been treating PoE2 too much like a spreadsheet and not enough like a game.I still want to finish my main though.
