My thoughts on the new models in relation to MTL using my Eroge Benchmark (translating the same 500 lines with known human errors across each):1) GPT-6 Sol seems a little worse than GPT-5.6 Sol. It's a bit close most of the time, but in key lines 6 underperforms a little. The biggest issue I had is that my benchmark uses really dark, gritter text, and while 5.6, Astra, and even Opus 5.5 all used swears for the curses in the game (like kuso -> shit), 6 Sol didn't and used clean language throughout (like kuso->crap), totally killing the mood in those lines. I'm not sure if that was a freak accident, and it corrected it after I pointed it out, but having either less of a cogent grasp on the tone of the text or just being inclined away from swearing either would be a big negative and is my biggest concern.On a 100 point scale I give GPT-5.6 Sol about 80 to 85 points, while I would presently give GPT-6 Sol 70 to 80 points. (Astra is a hard 85 minimum.)This is subject to change as the model is either refined or even cucked over time. However, it DOES translate like twice as much for the same usage, so I think for an average user not too fussy about quality then the ability to translate vinnies twice as fast would make it worth it.2) Opus 5.5 seems better than either Sol, and at parity with Astra. It passed the benchmark completely, catching every human error just like Astra did, so the only remaining question is style. In this regard it was about 50/50, sometimes Astra did a little better, sometimes Opus 5.5 did a little better. Astra was a bit more conversational with its TL, while Opus was a bit more formal and use a couple of em-dashes. The difference was so slight it is extremely hard to really evaluate.However, 5.5 seems absolutely insane with translation QC specifically. I again did a test of linking the same corpus of text with known errors to multiple models and told them to find comprehension errors and somehow Opus found 1.5x as many. Score: 85~87/100
