>>582032960>an apple placed on a table, there's a suburb behind the scene>there is audio>the apple has no shadow on the table>the apple is slightly unfocused>that's weird>the camera slowly raises, moves forwards and pitches downwards slightly>the apple appears as if it lifts off from the table>actually, the apple was never on the table>the camera now refocuses on the apple, the table is now out of focus>the apple was actually giant, on the suburb road, using perspective initially to seem like it's on the tablegg

Redid how movement works in an evening. It's a lot more readable playerside. As a consequence, I moved attacking to the skill menu and because shove was so esoteric to access earlier I moved it to a tap button. https://files.catbox.moe/azomox.mp4I also added more enemies and skills. From here, it's time to make the first area and intro sequence. Always start with the second level.

I'm working on an RPG Maker MZ project. I'm making a dungeon crawler based on OSR DnD mechanics, primarily Basic Fantasy RPG. Because of this monsters give little gold and XP but XP requirements to level up are quite high. The idea is you take the treasure you find dungeon crawling and use that to buy XP in town. 1 gold for 1 XP.Right now the way I have it set is if the party all dies in the dungeon the Dungeon Master takes a quarter of all their gold and are teleports them back to town. The dead characters can be revived for 100 gold per level of the character. If they can't afford it they have to get another character from a limited pool. If all characters die they have to start over. The problem is the amount of gold in the dungeon is fixed. Gold lost on death and gold spent on reviving is lost forever. I need some way for the players to earn that gold back. The players also need a way to grind enough gold to earn the higher levels if they want to spend the time to do so. The higher levels require millions of XP.I could just make some enemies that drop more gold and place them strategically throughout the dungeon, grinding would be true to the genre, but it's kind of boring. Any thoughts? Maybe some kind of mini game where they confront the Dungeon Master for their gold back?
