Been playing mage to give it a shot since I kind I hate classic mage. I gotta say, I'm weirdly enjoying it. I'm playing arcane, which I started for wand spec and early +hit. I'm struggling to find a reason to ever cast second arcane blast more than once, though. The mana consumption is insane. I just alternate blast and missiles, and if I get a CC proc, I just use it on missiles unless I have get it on the first blast, but I'm usually already casting missiles by the time the proc is realized anyway.

I'm curious to see how the damage from bosses is gonna shake out and how much tanks can/will need to spec into DPS in order to help maintain threat but also just clear faster. At least based on the benefits of the talents, it feels like Blizzard really wants to avoid another FuryProt situation, but damn does the mitigation feel stacked as hell on some of the tanks and hybriding might be worth it.
Druid here, PvP realm. What faction do i pick? What race? I feel like skelf mogs Tauren for 1-16 because zephras gets you to 14 in about 3-4 hours depending on how busy the zone will be. So obviously it comes down to looks, which.. tauren look atrocious in leather and racials, obviously warstomp is insane, and the hit rating and health means for PvE tauren are basically hit capped through talent and racials and health is always nice in PvP/tanking but i feel like the move speed and gliding from skelves is pretty good and obviously they are fashion souls winners. Full-clearing a raid in classic isn't an achievement and was never an achievement. Even the hardmodes they added in SoD didn't feel like an achievement. If they want to make Forever feel like classic, the raids should leave you feeling empty. The hardest raids should feel as fulfilling as killing Hogger solo.

Blizzard in WoW Forever has decided to cut dungeon XP dramatically and increase dungeon quest XP accordingly. They have laid out their philosophy as wanting to tackle dungeon carries and mage carries in particular, prevent dungeon spam, and also promote a mix of doing a dungeon once, maybe more for gear, but then going out into the world.creates a “one-and-done” dungeon meta. Once the quests are finished, repeating the dungeon becomes dramatically less attractive even if you enjoyed the group or still need gear. That hurts one of the organic social loops of Classic: good random group “one more run?” add each other play together again. It also creates pressure to skip trash, optional bosses and side objectives because those things now provide very little character progression.get the feeling Blizzard has been tackling this issue without considering potential unintended consequences and much like spell power on caster gear / spell ranks base damage nerf IMO, they have brought a plethora of issues to a problem that solves a very narrow behavior.-This is an obvious one, but tanks and healers are hurt BAD, and disproportionately so. Even if not purely leveling by dungeons, many enjoyed repeat runs because of their shorter wait time and the efficiency for them, as compared to mainly questing. They will scarcely find a party that wants to do repeat runs, and the tanks and healers that do clear a dungeon, will have little incentive to run it again if they place some value in XP gain from time spent.

So they are even tackling one same issue from two very different angles instead of going piece by piece, and holding back on a sweeping change such as dungeon XP, that alters the very face of the journey we're supposed to cherish...

I believe the lack of dedicated solo class quests for other classes -like those for Hunters and Priests- is actually cut content that was originally meant for Vanilla. To accommodate realm population and ensure everyone can access them without having to wait in line, these quests could take place in instanced areas. For Rogues, it could involve stunlocking a mob to death or sneaking past enemies using Sap; for Druids, it could be transporting an item across an obstacle filled map within a tight time limit, etc.
