Especially to players who can't make it in any party due to giga inflated elitism in which they require players to be +30k above needed requirement for some dungeon. Out of the three submenus to soulbinding you have the top one which is to increase the total percentage levle of the soulbind, which will push you towards using the full aspect of your gear's stats.
The second option as you say that uses gear to reroll, is to reroll one specific stat and not all of them. So if you have 2-3 stats that you want to keep, you use this method to reroll the rest without losing the stats that you would like to keep.
Which brings us to the third and final option, complete reroll. It rerolls all your stats. I would do this until you roll 3 stats that you like or are okay with before you start rerolling singular attributes/stat whatever you wanna call them. I did the mistake of starting to reroll singular stats on a piece that had stats that I thought were good but they could have been better for my specific class.
