I just bought monster hunter wilds and it's my first ever monster hunter game. I'm overwhelmed a bit about how many options they have for weapons so I've been checking them out in the training area and stuff and trying to watch some videos on how to play them etc. Insect glaive seems like a really fun looking weapon but everywhere I look everyone says it's ass? It lasts about the same duration as demon powder and might seed so it’s a good indicator of when each buff needs to be reapplied. Don't use Focus. You can charge your blade within 2x Charged Slashes + Rising Slashes.>Artillery 5 and Capacity BoostThey boost SAED damage the most. Augment with Health Boost (or not, if you're a madman) and Decoration Slot for the entire skill. Don't augment for Affinity and Element Increase.Don't bother with Critical Eye and Critical Boost since phial explosions don't crit. The innate Critical Eye 3 and Weakness Exploit 3 will neutralise the negative 15% affinity inherent to the True Fatty Charger and add up to 50% affinity respectively.
