Copied from a post of mine in another thread:

(Build) Everything that can apply debuffs, so bleed on M1, full freeze on M2 (though weakens also works), freeze on teleport, smoke dealing bonus damage per debuff, reduce sprint cost and increase speed ofc, and for the talent you could either go Backstabber for the lowered CD on M2, or Weak Spot if you like dealing bonus damage on his teleport.

The game plan is simple, skulk around corners and out of sight prior to teamfights while charging M2 (you can cancel the charge by quickly releasing M2 after doing a basic attack) and smacking someone in the face with a full charged attack. Spread debuffs as much as possible, or go to wherever your teammates are applying theirs and start stinking the place up with his stealth, holding the ability to get a longer stealth, spread more poison and bonus damage, and to reposition yourself to wherever you feel like you need to be. I usually use his Q to reposition to new targets during fights after the initial ambush, though you can always initiate with it.

The fun thing about his stealth is that sure enemies will "know" where you are because of the green smoke cloud, but so far nobody really pays much attention to the green smoke as they usually have other things that'd require their immediate attention. That and most people's aim go out the window once they have to vaguely guess where you are so there's that as well.

You gotta get into the groove with him; he's literally "mess with the bull, get the horns", but that still means they've got to mess with you first. Poke them out with your spears while guarding your team, then pop your buff and fucking nuke anything that comes at you. You can't make space as easily as the other tanks, but instead you're really good in a deathball that your team can move around in. The double-gore in particular hits like a fucking truck.

Since /v/ thread died (and I can't post images there anyways, thanks jannies), been working lately as a side hobby on trying to finish unreleased characters without models/designs. Will post kits and talents of each on later time if anyone is interested.

I did hear Bolga's animations in files got updated since previous build from minor leak, so my hopes increased from 1% to 2%, but yeah. I really wish I could live in reality where this game receives more characters and updates, as you can probably tell.

All his damage is in his soul projectiles, not his primary, with good timing and aim you can get 4 to chain together, and each does more damage than the last. You've got breathing room to practice since he's a fucking limpet to try to kill and his Ult is a "fuck you, I'm taking you down with me" button, but he's extremely aim-intensive if you want kills and honestly pretty weak for how much effort it requires.

I don't think there's any ill intentions behind the re-release. You're right that they brought it back because they knew people liked it and would buy it, but there's no indication that they did it intentionally to make people buy into the game twice. Otherwise, why kill the original dev team? I doubt they even worked on it at all until 2022 at the earliest.

my point is that the game for the people that used to play it (not really a large amount of people to begin with) should be free it leads to word of mouth. "Hey anon you should check this game out the devs are back and making the game great again I used to play it a few years ago and the severs shut down but now the devs are updating it again" would lead to people checking it out a lot of sales of games are from people inviting other people to play it or talking about it on forums
It would also garner GREAT favor of the original players "oh look this game I used to be able to play I can play again and just jump back in with all my old characters"

You do realize the "free" games you're thinking about aren't actually "free". You can play them freely, but there's a lot you don't get access to like cosmetics, characters and so on.

this game piqued my interest but i wish there was a demo that allowed me to play the tutorial / vs bots / limited roster like granblue fantasy
infographics are good at explaining rules but anything that would give me a proper feel for the game firsthand would be nice (not to mention people out there do an half assed job explaining or straight up lie)
as things stand i feel the game is nothing more than a paid beta to welcome veterans in who would be more tolerant over the issues people are pointing out

Having a miserable time actually getting into matches on PS5. Between file verification issues, connectivity problems, massive frame chugging on certain maps and literal console-crashing loading screens, the honeymoon phase ended real fuckin' quick.

I love playing this game, but DAMN is it hard to even do so. Spent 40 minutes getting queued and requeued, stuck on infinite loading screens and restarting the app to play a 10 minute Rush match, only to crash the app when trying to return to the main menu in the postgame.

I don't want this game to die another miserable death, so I'll keep trying to play.

Don't use a controller, take the left path for her m1, try to unload all rockets on a single target.
She was also nerfed, with her m1 having more damage fall off, reduced tracking on the missles, reduced move speed and armor on her movement skill.
Also her ultimate does 20% less damage.

A lot of them are there specifically because Nara wasn't a lazy ass sitting in her tower all day. There's a huge amount of lore in this release that never made it to the live server before the game died. I don't think the old game ever even name dropped Hierophant Nara, so nobody knew who was leading House Aurion and co. before.

I think they dumped all the unimplemented text that Motiga had done into the game with this release, all of the character stories are finished and the entire weekly story they had planned is there.
Open \Mission 202\RxGame\Localization\INT\RxGame.int with a text editor. There's at least some bits about Karakesh.

They also kept unused descriptions and localization notes in the file.

A game, even a multiplayer hero shooter like Gigantic can still survive years past it's final release while costing money.
Just look at PvZ Garden Warfare 2, although the new dev team does have problems they need to sort out first.
Fixing the bugs, fixing matchmaking and making it better, increasing xp gain, decreasing the amount of matches needed to unlock clash, and releasing on Xbox game pass as well as Playsation Plus.
Of course, going F2P eventually would probably be the best course of action, but I think the above is reasonable for the short to medium term.

As your so tanky Conservation of Mass can often finish off anyone who was trying to kill you. You could probably use Gift of Annihilation too for more finishing power. The entire build is based around making you and your team very hard to dislodge from the skirmishes you choose and amazing siege potential. Takes a bit of practice but the build can be used as an entry attack/ tank for the rest of the team in a fight. It also gives it a double offensive option if a turret goes down when your on cooldown or you have to quickly protect someone.

Gris's best escape option is always to ensure you have as much stamina as possible and map awareness. Escape portal is more a chance to heal and bait out enemy debuffs than an disengament tool.

I use the same lmb and rmb upgrades, with stun on puddle and and teleport to interrupt power collects. Also focus generation passive + heal on ult. I stick with my team until I realize that they are stupid (the usual case) or until we get stalled on an offensive fight that we can't win, like pushing into Siren's mid. Then I just go to the other side of the map and harass their creature: they have to send at least 2 to deal with me because I can either ignore or kill most lone heroes with ult. If they do put me in danger, I exit strategy away until they get bored, then go back in and repeat. Sometimes they'll try to stop me by upgrading but usually that's just free power for me. I'm still not sure about the lategame upgrade order, but for level 1-5 it's always lmb, rmb, exit strategy, sometimes getting exit strategy sooner if i'm being targeted. I like getting bestial feast quickly because most creatures put out some kind of minor debuff that I can go health positive on.

I'd heavily recommend swapping to the Wall Stun path for your E.
It's a chunky on demand 250 AoE damage and the CC massively helps in securing kills.
You can also rotate between RMB and Wall to repeatedly interrupt orb captures from a relative safe distance.

Reverse Polarity on Vortext + Perfect Storm Talent = 25% wound vulnerability is a perfect stall, even if you suicide for it, and punishes retard W+M1 faggots by sending their damage right back at them to get the sieging over and done with.

Obviously reflect is the go-to against heavy ranged teams.
I've been trying out the damage on teleport over increased LMB damage though.
I'm honestly kinda torn.
Leaving whoever jumped on you with a 250 damage Fuck You is nice, and telefragging a motherfucker feels amazing.
It's just hard to gauge how much of an impact each has, because the LMB boost is way better if you can turn around and unload after DD, but unless the enemy team is bad you won't get many opportunities for either.

Assassins know you can't deal with them, so even half decent ones will spend all game hunting you down and making your life hell.
The fun part of her is that her escape is so good so that she can have a chance against assassins, that everyone else has an absolute hell of a time trying to secure a kill on her.
She's slippery as fuck and watching people overextend trying to kill me, or just getting outplayed when they underestimate their reach is satisfying as hell.

He's way closer to TMat, but kinda outclassed in most ways. His bread and butter isn't his tickle primary fire, but his secondary fire with the souls - land all 4 of those against a target with their ramping damage and he fucking hits like a truck. His primary fire is more for the sustain / longevity to wait out a good time to strike, than it is kill pressure.
Issue is that he's slow to ramp up (he needs to get those souls, even if he lands the AoE) and extremely aim-dependant because they're pretty slow projectiles all things considered.
At the very least at least you have the best escape in the game after Roland's grapple, and a fucking nuke of an Ult for counterganking Assassins, but you gotta get that pin-point aim on him to do well.

The slowness of the soul fire make it feel next to impossible to nail anyone except large engaged tanks, summons, and oblivious HK players if they aren't right in your face. I know your meant to chain well of souls into the triple tap but the tiny area and huge delay again makes it really difficult to trap anyone. I was using spectral form to punish gankers and assassins but your probably right about it being for escape instead.

Unless you're doing beyblade tech to hard-dive into their backline, deflect-on-spin is a lifesaver for safety and gap-closing with Tyto, with your sweep-swoop thing being your best finisher.

Learn how to master his jump attack and dodging. On top of the I-frames Tyto gets more benefits from dodging than any other hero, with a lot of upgrade abilities and an improved basic combo if you dodge into it.

Practice learning how to flick your jump attack. Jump attacks which backstab apply crippled which prevents sprinting and halves movement speed. Tyto can apply a lot of nasty status to characters unable to get away. Tyto is especially good at flicking becuase of the speedof his jump attack. Allowing you to apply crippled from a starting position where you are both facing each other. Probably only works with keyboard and mouse haven't tried it with controller.

It goes without saying that you should rely on jump attacking fleeing characters if you have the stamina to spare and Tyto is great at stamina management.

I've been doing pretty well with him of late.
He is definitely reliant on the team to actually put people into kill range, since he's not good at contributing to teamfights. You're not going to solo carry with him like certain characters.
Still, Chaining swoop kills is peak fun.
Abusing the Q movetech is also great.

Only thing I don't like about his kit is the lackluster E.

I kinda feel bad for recommending the game to my friends. We've had a few good games here and there, but when they play solo, they end up having the worst experience. Although that reminds me earlier today I had a game where the enemy Tripp almost ran away with it entirely in the first half.
We did eventually win, but only because the Tripp forced us to play well enough and we were able to consistently kill her.
Makes me wish we had the old respawn time back, I half think they did it to make defending a guardian easier, but if that was the reason I wish they just gave you the faster respawn if you died while your guardian vulnerable.

I've mostly had okay games, but sometimes the matchmaking servers still crap out on me and I have to exit and re open the game.
I've luckily only had one match so far with 2+ team mates quitting and leaving behind bots with either attack us or get stuck on the launch pads in spawn.

Tyto is very strong but they have a very high skill ceiling and skill floor and if your team is useless Tyto is as well. In an organised team cooperating Tyto applies tremendous pressure.

As a few other anons have mentioned Tripp just melts when the other team isn't making mistakes and is hard countered by debuffs and CC, problem is in just about every public game your bound to have at least 1-3 people in your team who aren't very good. Therefore compared to everyone else so she outperforms. If ranked comes I think we will a lot of Tytos in high level play.

Pretty much. Your everywhere, you harass everyone and prevent them from focusing as a team. Especially if you chosen multiple bleed abilities due to the way damage over time stacks you get better damage potential spreading it around. A significant amount of his DPS and pressure is in his status effects which don't require you to stick around in a slugging match.

In gigantic damage over time (DOT) from a single status like bleed is calculated by the the largest stack, any other stacks added to this only add 10% if they are smaller. So if you were to say use blur to apply 100dmg/4s and then use fang to apply 30dmg/5s instead of being 400 + 150 total DOT (130dmg/s) it will be 103dmg/s until the stack from blur wears off. The only exception to this is if the skill specifically states that it stacks and then that means it only stacks with the specific ability stacks that apply it.

On the plus side bleed totally ignores armour (and shield too if I remember rightly) giving you good tools for getting around tanks, buffs and shield. You can also stack it with other DOT effects like poison or burn without occurring the stacking penalty A team with multiple DOT types such a Charnok + Xenobia + Tyto can be very oppressive.

Actually I should clarify. Q skills stacks with its self fully. So can have up to 50dmg/3s if you get all 10 stacks. For around 150 total DOT assuming you disengage immediately after. This is better than the 30dmg/s that a fang bleed applies. But fang does 30dmg/5s which will ALSO do 150 total DOT. So it will go from 30dmg/s to 53 dmg/s then maybe 1 extra 30 dmg fang proc because it lasts a little longer. Its definitely not a poor opening, just keep in mind it wastes a fair amount of potential DOT and pressure on another player as each time a DOT procs it resets the in-combat timer preventing their health and stamina regen.. If this is a primary tactic you like to use you might want to build for pounce and gnawing out to maximise the damage it will do.

There are a bunch of little things like that which detract from the game experince, all status effects should have an in game guide explaining them.
Skill descriptions should be standardized and more useful, sometimes identical effects across different heroes are worded differently.
Not to mention minor cosmetic changes which impact gameplay such as Knossos' charged spear throw on the left hand path doesn't sync up with the cool down. So even if you still have a couple second until you can start to use the spear again, the spear still reappears in Knossos' hand.
I also think T-Mat should have a more obvious delay between shots, like a circle around the recital which depletes whenever you shoot and begins to refill until you can next shoot.
Little things like that which would make heroes easier to play and help mitigate skill issues from newer players.

I've really tried with Ezren Ghal but he just isn't very good. The only situation he seems to do well in is quick sieges or when your team is applying a huge amount of CC to the enemy team. For every other situation your better with someone else. He desperately needs something to his base kit. Like his E doing something and not taking an eon to recharge. Or his soul fire tracking towards where your aiming if its held down. I really hope we are going to see balance patches. I know they say there is no intention of further development but the game still needs a bit more polish.

Sorry for not responding fast enough, but I was busy experimenting with builds and missed your comment.
Anyways, I've had a good time with these three builds on Rutger, Knossos, and Beckett respectively.
On Rutger, I stopped being so defensive with his build and went with an interrupt focus. It's a pretty generally applicable build with good mobility, but shines in Rush where you can fuck with enemies trying to cap.
Rutger really struggles with DoT/Degen heavy enemy teams, although a "Shields up" Build focused on being tanky and using the effects which trigger when you have shields can be pretty strong when going up against a DoT light team. Due to that his DoT Weakness, I don't think his right side upgrades for his ult are very good, although that almost constant focus gain boost is very tempting.
Oh yeah, Mountain Range and Rock On are fairly interchangeable here, I just prefer the longer range of his alternate fire.
Knossos is a generally build, you hit hard and can share your buffs when going against the enemy Guardian.
In Rush, taking the additional speed boost is probably better than buff sharing, and when in a pre-made team the order for the first five upgrades should be as bellow instead.

From my experience a Gaurdian can become vulnerable at the earliest when both teams are at level 3, so taking Might Yawp earlier guarantees you have it, but when not in a premade team it's better to be a bit more selfish and take it later.
For Beckett the build is a fairly standard gunning build focused on killing Guardians as fast as possible as well as shitting on light weight classes.
For Rush, take her poison grenade instead, but other than that it stays the same. I consider her jetpack a crutch and thus didn't make it a priority.

They did highlight hero balance, so hopefully Zandora and Ezren will receive some buffs.
Zandora already had her focus gain buffed by 20%, and the range of her Auras buffed by 2 meters and duration to 3 seconds.
At least with Zandora, I think buffing her numbers a bit across the board is probably enough.
Or maybe adding some debuffs to her auras would help her if they don't want to give her a slight numbers boost, although that feels like it's more likely to go wrong.

Nah, the charge input overrides the basic recovery frames and your basic overrides the charge input. Since you never actually use the attack, it's not put on cooldown.
It's not a bug either, just an in-kit interaction, since that's how both interact with each other across all characters. Knossos and Pakko can do it too, but don't get the same value out of it. Pakko just uses it so he can Cold-Kit-Combo / kitdump burst while weaving in 0 recovery Basics; while Knossos extends his buff by default, his 4th his is only +80% (instead of +100%) and has his Horn Charge as his chase instead of using his Javelin as the option select. Kajir is the only Assassin with access to a charge cancel, and gets the mos value out of it.

Ezren Ghal any build. The man is made to melt creatures. Just have an escape plan in mind if the enemies come to stop you. Take the area of effect upgrades for your m2 so you can contribute more in team fights by just aiming in their general direction. Can punish assassins who try to focus you. Xenobia also works, she will be a fairly safe but slow creature killer. Take the left hand path for her m1 For creature killing and either upgrade. Rest is a matter of playstyle but make sure you have 100 stamina to run away if needed. She rocks in a 2v2 and is hard to take down 1v1. Her dodge is better than most heroes.

Both of these characters can also have good survivability in a team fight or skirmish provided they aren't focused down as their escape options and mobility are lacking. Never try to fight with them while outnumbered if you feel your team fighting skills need practice. Hope that helps you in the team fights.

Sorry I meant to say his left m2 is bad not m1. Often you can get upwards of 500dps across players as the splash will catch 2- 3 people at the same time and you have a significant amount of upgrades which can increase the rate you take souls in. Plus it makes hitting targets very reliable with the huge splash. Completely punishing for the enemy trying to teamfight. Paired with good supporting CC he's a little nuts. Every time I've paired him and Xenobia they wipe the floor with the other team.

Tyto got buffed before release, so they've got an interrupt on their focus now. Crack armor isn't a negative in the slightest in my opinion.
Teleport Fang is just a bit too predictable and clunky. The bonus true damage is really good for securing kills too.
I wish the tankier upgrades were a bit better so Tyto could function as a secondary brawler, but c'est la vie.

I saw one teammate do that to us and our other teammate literally imploding over it. This playerbase is literally trying their best effort to doom this game, it's kind of admirable.

I'm starting to think best Creature comp is:
- Obelisk / Imp (although it can sometimes teleport you below the map so I think Obelisk is better)
- Either base or Invis Bloomer
- Either base or Shoot Through Cyclops

Drakes are still too easy to kill and Cyclops are way better in teamfights/as utility on most maps like Sanctum or Ember. I think only on Picaro it's pretty mid.

I run Fire Drake, Winter Bloom and Snowclops.

- Drakes are overrated as fuck, especially Storm; on the other hand they're the only one with global presence with how they randomly drop a bomb on the enemy's heads every now and again - and even if they never land a shot it doesn't change that they're the only ones capable of it. Putting one in the "safe spot" next to your Guardian means that they're out of the way and can help when guarding, while also providing value. Fire does this for one entire Focus point less than Storm, and Burns are a more common ailment that heroes synergise with than Shock (Charnok, TMat, Margrave etc)
- Autumn is overrated as fuck, and while it's not as shit as Spring, I'd take a Summer for one point less any day. Winters on the other hand have bonus health, and their Orbs actively provide a bonus shield / damage - so they stall out for longer, help with their own defense once you arrive, make escaping enemies slower, and to top it off, if you're just low and need some fucking health, they'll get you back in fighting condition the fastest. Stealth on Autumn is kind of a meme because, basically, when the fuck are you ever going to use it?
- Snowclops vs Voidclops is a mix for me; just depends on what kind of composition you're running. Snow is the stronger unit, but for the same price, obviously Void is going to be more value if you're running Beckett + TMAT + Voden. That said, I just find the comps where Snow gets more value are more common.
- Obelisks only have use if pushing an advantage - it's not only a waste of a slot on the backfoot, but chews up the space for something that could have been used to help turn the table (since it doesn't gather shit and barely defends itself). It's a rich-get-richer Creature, and honestly, you can rely on someone else to pack one, even if you plan on 1v9'ing.

Wish you could switch loadout pre-map though. There's a few spots where a Stone Cerb would be good for ledge kills over a Clops.

Jump attacks usually come with some hefty forward momentum. You absolutely can use it to run people down, but it's situational.

The only ranged hero I think who has a completely bullshit escape is inami. As its also a team buff. AOE debuff, fairly quick recharge and can give you both jump and stealth the two best utility and escape options in the game at the same time. Given she is a low stam use hero who is never in the dangerous areas she only needs the stealth if focused down by an assassin. Nigger just turn on her. And. Kill. Her. She is forced to take a near-frontline position, is almost always the highest priority target just by default, and is one of the easiest *anythings* to kill. Who cares about the ghost, just kick the shit out of the little girl and either get a kill or force her to disengage so she can run into your Assassin by herself. Every single character trades higher, she has no positive matchups unless she has Cador babysitting herself (at which point she's just removed her team impact from the game), and even then she trades low and loses to most DPS. Put any Assassin on her and she's just *gone*. That's why Cador is so unusually tanky, because she is so ridiculously weak.

Shit like this is a constant reminder that le community should never, ever be listened to. It's just filled with vocal minorities that don't even play the fucking game. Fucking shitcord man.

I can get behind Ezren needing some buffs, but keep them QoL over numbers; he already hits like a truck if left unattended. Something like letting his Souls stay around for longer is all he needs, them fading after a few seconds gets annoying fast; maybe a cooldown buff on his AoE to get it more in line with Xenobia's larger Curse AoE for it's size.

Don't tank then. There are characters with some flex in their roles who can act like a frontline if they need to. The only two real tanks in the game are Rutger and the Margrave. You can lynchpin an attack or defence around Zenobia, Ramsey or even Grismela. Try them out for some flexibility in your choices if everyone keeps wanting to play ranged DPS.

Honestly one of the reasons I like gigantic is that the team composition is a lot more flexible than other hero shooter moba games.

Like the other's said, he's a dodge tank and has a pretty good matchup against Rutger due to his dots.
One thing worth noting is that his left side m1 melee skill upgrades don't work properly. With them affecting his dodge and jump attack.
So he's one of the best for finishing off fleeing enemies.

I get that the state of the PS5 release is unacceptable, that they should be able to play something that they have payed for, but the spreading of lies helps precisely no one and is utterly contemptable. Having so many PS5 owners making claims to the effect that the game is literal malware costing them a significant amount of cash needs to be addressed by the developers in a public post on all channels immediately as it will scare off any potential new player on PS5 or any other platform. Along with preventing any player who has already bought it on consoles from playing ever again because they don't want to risk the non-existent danger.

Eh, been a while already; I've already started on just manually fixing up the maps myself (Grove's the main one done right now); especially considering the in-game ones don't show walls or ledges or how close you can get to the enemy Guardian (which for some places, is surprisingly close).
Main one is just that Heaven's Ward minimap is almost unusably inaccurate to work off as a base and definitely inaccurate to the one in-game, and it was the second one I did after Reef so it seemed worse than it was. Picaro's pretty bad too, but I at least can work with it (original maps are fine).

You can reenable the VGS with just a a few file changes.

Find the folder with the game files>gigantic->RxGame->Config ->RxUI->ctrl+f: "quickchat" and change "false" to "true" (delete false and type true)->save text file->load game->should work. Then pressing 1-4 will let you use the old quickchats. I tried it out some of the voice lines seem be busted and it wont work if you have a suggested upgrade but they will always show up in the chatbox.

I've been using the Wiki GG wiki, due to having the actual useful numbers front and center, a clear layout, and some bugs noted on skills.
The map pages and the notes on the map are also useful, and I wish the in game mini map showed elevation.

There's quite a lot of shortcuts and the like on Picaro; two massive routes nobody ever takes is the walkway that skips the entirety of the midregion, and when you're clashing, going the slightly longer ship-side instead of land-side when running at the Guadian gives you a ton of cover and it's own dedicated walkway that defenders struggle to reach. I disliked it first, but it's really grown on me as I've learnt the layout; since the maze helps defenders not get completely locked out of their own map.

I like that, it's a map that plays differently. Both lanes have to deal with their shit with either a surplus or a deficit with attacker or defenders advantage, you can't take the point without wiping the lane, and he midpoint exists to deal with tiebreakers. You've gotta choose who to throw people down and where you're most needed.

imo Just play Ramsay, his entire kit revolves around dodges, and he can get them cheaper with his Passive upgrades + stamina back on his dodge-ability. Go into a game of Rush with a Dodge build and just get used to timings on the less contested point (eg the Pirate ship on Picaro), duel with anyone who contests you.
Played him for a while and it instantly carried over to everyone else.
