New thread. Re-did this one since I missed the subject line. The 3rd anniversary for global just started along with the second Taimanin event.

Also, in case ICYMI from the last thread:

>That thread along pretty much emphasizes the crowdfunding thing again although them having plans to explain more. It also repreats some info regarding why the game got the axe, and it was honestly a lot more than I was expecting even if they came go into extreme detail. Basically, it is a combination of complicated contracts and resources. Even though sales have gone down, they were still making plans going forward.

https://twitter.com/MGCM_official/status/1697214274719092924

>This one here follows a bit on how they still want to talk with the fanbase and answer questions in mid September. Aside from that, the plot is 90%. I'm not sure if they mean from what we have seen or from what they have so far, but good on the communication either way.

>Going back to the complications, the team was also talking with various other affiliates since they rely on more than the parent company and DMM. We probably won't ever know all the details of these contracts, but maybe that complication is the reason why there is even a small glimmer. Also, I say they got the axe, buy the team is asking that it was their own decision to end things given the circumstances. So maybe it really was a case of funding getting cut rather than an official end.

>No news on global. The admin from the official Discord has said that there are no plans for cancelation right now. It may or may not end early still, but I honestly wonder how much overhead they worry about

Straight up abandoning the IP would be extremely retarded business-wise. They could easily pivot into making non-gacha games ala Granblue
>>

Well we have the offline version to look forward to for now
>>
>>1273544
It wouldn't be the first time a franchise got locked up in a dark dungeon. I don't think that will quite happen here since the team seemes to really like what they were doing and they seem to have some wiggle room along with this having been high investment and highly produced, but businesses do these sorts of things all the time.

Not gonna lie though, a Persona-esque game would be pretty cool since there are a few similarities already and I imagine it would be slightly less resource intensive.

>AI is literally the only outlet
I mean, you could always commission an artist or try drawing it yourself.
AI art always feels like an emotionless void to me because it's like 99% machine black box and 1% some dude inputting a text prompt hoping to get okay hands.
>>
>>1276294
Yeah. Some AI art is very much more lively, but it feels surreal how often you can tell when something is AI art.

This one above is pretty decent, but some characters do look slightly off in comparison.

We joke about being rich and buying the game or assets or whatever, but I do think there is a lot to mine from the game. I'm not sure if I'd ever try to do something like fanfiction, but expies are a thing.

There's no way these anniversary missions could've ever been done to completion

You really have no experience with hentai franchises, do you? Sometimes the lack of sales, or in gacha cases, players/purchases is enough. Ever heard of the Makai Tenshi Djbril series? Completely dropped the moment Frontwing decided they wanted to do more "wholesome" R18 content.

Since the offline version will most likely end up as a VN + model viewer they should just port it to Godot. I also doubt the parent company would be fine with losing money with each download for an IP they no longer care about, if they really own it.

sadly, the non-vanilla content like this is likely why this game struggled
if you think about it, gacha games rely on waifufagging the most, because only a waifufag (or a metafag) would be obsessed enough with a girl to spend thousands whaling on a jpeg of her, or to get the newest dress
quality doesn't really matter, it's about pulling in obsessed whales
who's going to want to waifu up a girl who gets fucked by dogs and old men every other week?
and someone who just wants to coom and doesn't care about the characters can just look up random porn

I guess maybe they were hoping for a majority of people spending a decent amount of money instead of relying on whales?
>>
>>1288323
The Taimanin gacha has lots of non-vanilla content but it doesn't seem to have any problems bringing in lots of money
>>
>>1288323
>who's going to want to waifu up a girl who gets fucked by dogs and old men every other week?

I honestly the girls being huge sluts is one of the main draws for me. The events aren't even canon to the main timeline anyway.

apart from the fact that Taimanin is an established and well-known property, and even then it's not really bringing in "lots of money" (it's doing well though, and it's very cheap and low budget so the costs are low)...
are you aware of the fact that the RPGX original character, Kirara, is overwhelmingly the most popular character in the franchise and consistently tops every single popularity poll (while asagi herself struggles to crack the top 10)?
yes, more popular than iconic faces like Asagi, Yukikaze, Annerose and Ingrid, who all have years of OVAs and videogames promoting them
here's another neat fact: to date, every single scene of her is vanilla with the self-insert. No orcs, no NTR, no rape, no tentacles, no shit-eating

can you fucking comprehend that? Taimanin, THE orc rape series, with a fanbase made up of people who love degeneracy... and it's most popular character and top moneymaker is the bland generic virgin waifubait OC

our girls had no chance :(

Aight so I did some digging and it looks like there were a few instances of UR dresses just having no story at all if they were the 3rd UR in a normal set, so Anubis Ao doesn't have one

nah this argument would only works if games with pure waifu that include sex are doing fine
which there isn't gacha games like that
it struggles because it's porn doesn't matter if it's ''degenerate'' or not

the point is porn gacha games that aren't low budget don't last simply because they are porn
it has nothing to do with ''non-vanilla''

on a half related topic taimanin devs should give more love to chaos order.
>>
>>1288566
I see. Kinda sucks.

>>1288769

This whole thing is weird since I see these ecchi and borderline pornographic games and other things and wonder why they don't just have actual porn. Negative:
Expensive
No battles
Not all dresses implemented (collab dresses)
Expensive
Expensive

Positive:
Voices are included (possibly why it costs so much)
Script for the rest of the story will be completed (albeit as a separate text file)
Studio function with all non collab dresses.

Unclear:
The wording suggests that some collab events will remain but without collab character voices.
Digital art collection. I'm assuming it's cgs of "everything" in game. Not sure how complete or interesting it will be.

Misc:
The download keys on Campfire are for the all ages version instead of the DX version. The DX version download keys are distributed separately to backers. It might just be that Campfire as a platform doesn't allow adult content and they're skirting around that.
Unreleased image data for 50000+ yen backers. (Unreleased dresses, end of year event, unreleased characters, etc)

tldr
4 years of story content + voices at the cost of two full price games.

Gotta do some outreach to more casuals with even passing interest in seeing it finished.
If it fails, we get nothing so it's better to have more people onboard the crowdfund rather than waiting for and riding a hypothetical post success train that might not come.
The option to buy it later on DMM only exists if we reach the goal.

Is this for global? On JP, I hovered around 40,000 in ranking. Even then, I am not sure if using PVP rankings necessarily means all that much depending on how players engage with different modes. Even moreso since you can be a fan of something even if you don't actively participate, and some may prefer an offline version precisely because they can do things on their own time without the fear of missing out. Not saying you are wrong, just giving another perspective.
>>
>>1300667
That's in JP. I averaged around that range for all content, not just pvp.
I know the campaign just started and I'd love to be proven wrong but I'm gonna do what I could to increase the chances of success.

I'm not paying 150 dollars for a neutered offline version of gachaslop.
>>
>55 million yen crowdfunding
>to sell the offline version of the game at 15k yen/copy, which is 1.5 to 2x of AAA game in Japan
What is the next step of their master plan? Japan-Only? No Steam/some obscure website release?
>>
>>1309135
???
>>
>>1309124
>>1309135

The prices around gacha have always been borked, especially this one.

>Taiman collab - 5000 paid jewels ($50 dollarydoos) for one (non animated) H-scene and ten tickets.
>ASMR gacha, 15000 paid jewels ($150) for 50 dresses and 5 ASMR stories that you can't even download (assuming you're too much of a tard to just use OBS/record desktop audio)
>3000 paid jewels ($30) for a single, cosmetic weapon that can only be equipped on a single character.
Even if you account for the fact that you might get UR's, without any free access to paid jewels these prices are geninuely just horrible. You can buy eroge/nukige for less than that, and have hours more content if you just want fap content.

But in the mindset of someone willing to sell ASMR for $150 dollars, selling a large majority (over 100 or so) of h scenes for $150? Kinda seems like a bargain.

>What is the next step of their master plan? Japan-Only? No Steam/some obscure website release?
It's very unlikely this is getting on Steam. They are extremely prudish around loli content. e.g. To Heart 2: Dungeon Travelers 2 couldn't get on Steam, even though it was ESRB on Vita- for what was assumed to be loli butt in cg the files ,that wasn't even used ingame.
Sex with Hitler is fine though, Evenicle is (somehow) fine despite having actual loli sex but not Evenicle 2 for ironically the same reason.

I'm not saying it's a zero percentage chance, they might be able to do the thing that most VN's do, which is have a R-18 patch on their website- but that involves effort.
>>
>>1309514
>Dungeon Travelers 2 couldn't get on Steam
Because it tried to get released in all-ages store instead of adult-only
These kind of games are doing fine when they don't try to get around steam categories
>>
I don't expect it to be on Steam. The store is wildly inconsistent anyway.
It'll have to be DLsite.
>>
>>1309609
I believe they mentioned it will be on DMM, though DLsite also tends to have a few of the same things. Also, I kinda doubt that the offline release will be 15,000 yen since that package includes more things than just a download key. Based on the cheaper packages, I'm guessing that the price will be closer to 5,000 yen.

One other thing is that there may be stretch goals, but I've always been lukewarm to skeptical about those since I feel they are often tacked on given that those goals weren't exactly planned.

They so far got around an extra 8 million yen which is about 53,000 usd. I'm not a budgeting expert and don't know what expenses they'd have to take care of or for what reasons, so I'm wondering what they can do with that extra money. Still holding out for something like a manga or even more of those light novels.
>>
>>1311387
Yeah, the offline version will be hosted on DMM. They said it also costed money to do so, kind of like paying rent to use it as a platform like the Apple or Play store and that it was factored into the original goal.

Personally, I think the immediate best use of extra money would be to get the rest of the story fully voiced instead of just text as was the original plan. They mentioned drama cds so maybe in that format.
If there's a lot of extra money, I'd put the rest of the story into the offline version too. Then reimplement the battle system that's been cut out.
>>
The fact that we'll be able to extract the 3D models with accurate proportions now puts a smile on my face
>>
>>1311554
>Then reimplement the battle system that's been cut out.
Problem is that the battle system is serverside so implementing it offline would be too much of a hurdle
>>
>>1313370
It shouldn't be that hard if they still have access to the server files

Just a heads up: The first time you log into the Japanese version of the game between 10:00 PM JST on Oct. 30 and when the game shuts down at 11:59 PM Oct. 31, an ending movie is scheduled to play. Note that it can't be repeated, so if you accidentally click through it the first time, there's no way to watch it again.

The final livestream is scheduled to start at 8:00 PM JST, around 5 hours from now.

The crowdfunding campaign just announced what will and won't be included in the offline version as of right now. I only play the JP version, so I don't know the English names for all of these.

Not included:
- Sabbath
- Quests
- Team page
- Chat
- Login bonuses
- Missions
- Serial code entry
- Data transfer (online account sync between devices)
- All collab content

Included:

- Story (main, Kizuna, dress, event, Babel, birthday, extra)
- Studio (including Demon Mode and all dresses/cosplay available in the online version as of right now)
- Gacha
- R18 scene gallery
- Sound player (including those expensive situation voice dramas; may not include some songs due to copyright)

Under consideration:
- Dress/orb-related functions
- 異界ふしぎ発見 (idle missions)
- Profile screen
- Shop
- Character info screen (profiles/memories)
>>

Ok, that is pretty extensive. How would the gacha even work tho ? Do they just give you infinite currency ? Do dress unlock as you go through story and events ?
>>
I would've thought that the profile and info screens would be the easier ones to implement compared to the home screen interactions. Still, happy with all that we are getting.

And I think the crowdfunding should be at like an extra 30 million at this point, and I still have to donate myself.

I didn't notice this post the first time, but I just caught an article about it on the Japanese MGCM wiki. Apparently this is more than a regular fan game.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/2509830/MGCM_Combat_Edition/

MGCM Combat Edition ("MGCMCE") won the top prize in one of the official doujin contests back in 2020 and received official approval from the MGCM team in 2022, so parts of it use the actual assets from the game. No voice acting, unfortunately, but if the super sekrit asset ripping Discord downloaded the voice data before the game goes offline, it shouldn't be impossible to mod them into the game.

There was an ad for the game, as well as a "thank you" poster, hanging in Shibuya Station for the past week. Both were also approved by MGCM devs.

Wiki article about the posters: https://appmedia.jp/magicami/77308583
Related blog post from the fighting game team: https://note.com/koagura/n/ne7959aa777f4
BOOTH shop where you can buy the poster: https://mgcm-studiobu.booth.pm/

I haven't tried MGCMCE yet, but it looks like it's made in MUGEN. I'm interested in seeing how balanced it is, considering they've been playtesting it for a couple of years.

There are a few JP fans I follow on Twitter, and one of them mentioned wanting to do a novel. https://www.youtube.com/@iammagicamiglobal9958

So far there still doesn't seem to be any official acknowledgement, either in game or via official channels, of what is going to happen to the global version. I wonder if it is just a simple case of not wanting to spook would be whales? I kind of wonder if there is some weird support contract in place where the global publisher that got signed before they decided to shut the game down which is forcing the global publisher to keep it up still. I highly doubt this is some weird move to swap publishers or some shit like that given the crowd funding for an offline mode and I don't really know of many cases where the original shut down before the global version. It is odd though that they are just making regular content announcements all things considered.

On a practical level I also wonder how this would impact the release of the offline version globally. Assuming the offline version is finished fast enough that the global version isn't dead by then, would they run into issues releasing it globally?

I recommend Blackship. They're more expensive than other services if you're only shipping a single package, but they're also the least likely to break your shit. I've used them to ship some incredibly fragile items over the years and they've always arrived undamaged.

Unrelated, but this is one of the fragile items I shipped with them a couple of years ago. It was encased in so much bubble wrap that you probably could've dropped it off a building without it breaking. Sorry for the long URL.

Is there anything I should know about before contributing to the crowdfunding beyond using a service to ship physical merchandise? Can I just use a credit card or do I need to mess around with jap payment systems? I assume I can't just use something like paypal to make it simple. I've heard stories about jap websites and payment systems being pretty archaic but hopefully this isn't too bad.
>>
>>1330637
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I actually did see PayPal as an option. Even if that wasn't the case, you should still be able to use your card. Just be wary of potential foreign transaction fees, but a lot of cards don't have them. And when they do, it is often a very small one.

I think the only other thing would be that the shipped has already sailed on having your name appear in the final credits roll.

I finally went ahead and contributed, and while I don't know the full details, PayPal is indeed an option. As an addendum, there is a small fee the platform itself charges (I was charged like 1200 yen), but I don't think that was due to a foreign transaction.

>>

>>
>>1331637
The best hands down, nothing can compare. You don't have to rip it, it'll be in the offline game
>boob sliders
Huh? You mean the speed slider?
>>
>>1335080
Okay, so have you ever noticed how all the girls in MGCM can wear the exact same outfits while still maintaining their height and boob sizes and whatnot? I believe that's because they all use the exact same body models per costume, but the "skeletons" within said models have a system that deforms them using certain values to reflect a given girl's unique proportions. That system is basically what "sliders" are. I'm pretty sure Koikatsu, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and MMOs like FFXIV, PSO2 and BnS have similar systems.

To put it another way: have you ever created a character in an MMO or Koikatsu or something? MGCM girls function in a similar way
>>
>>1335329
That doesn't matter really. You can use something like Ninja Ripper and it'll extract exactly what you see on the screen because it rips the assets from the ram. You'll be able to get all the girls with every costume (available) with no issue.
>>
>>1335329

>I believe that's because they all use the exact same body models per costume, but the "skeletons" within said models have a system that deforms them using certain values to reflect a given girl's unique proportions.

So thats how it works? I have always wondered abou that since it would've been a pain to make models for each of the girls. There is some overlap, but I think only like a handful you can say have the same exact body model.

Also, we are now at over 102 million yen. I think we may fall just slightly short of the 105, but it is crazy that the crowdfunding raised nearly twice the original goal.
>>
>>1335329
There is exceptions to that rule, see the cow costumes and Eliza's detective dress.

>>1335626
True, but those are very deliberate. And at least for the cow series, it does still seem that the increases are proportional to the original sizes to the point where Aka and Cocoa are a bit cursed

>>1355430

I'd say it is still worth it since the time investment isn't the exact sameas other gacha games, and the layer story parts pretty much have very few combat sections. You also are able to get episode keys which unlocks story chapters and other content (with the exception of collabs), and these unlocks don't require you to complete the stages. Someone did some digging given the issues and late responses on global, and it looks like global will have its EOS near the end of January. Sucks, but is a lot less emotionally damaging since we are getting the offline version. Only thing would be that I wonder if there would be anyone willing to translate the content that won't be translated. May not be too big a deal since I guess there is machine translating which isn't utterly terrible these days, and I assume that there may be some leeway with modifying since. Either way, it is a bit rare for there to not be a giant gap with localized content like this, and it still amazes me that the crowdfunding got around 1 million usd.
>>
>>1372503
Makes sense I guess. At least they finished last years story.
>>
>>1372503
No announcement yet, for some reason. Gonna be honest and say it kinda sucks to have the EOS come this month and they aren't even being upfront with it yet. Even worse would be that JP got at least a whole month before the end came. Only thing that is very much cope is that something is happening behind the scenes. Who knows, maybe they will license the offline version. I would actually really like that, and I feel like even though it seems to be a vastly different build that they could import the translations over without too much hassle.
>>
>>1374026
I double-checked, it looks like Mist Train Girls had their global EOS'd with 22 days of notice (announcement Mar 9, EOS Mar 31), so not wildly out of character for Johren/Nutaku. But in MTG's defense, there was a good year of no updates, so you could at least see it coming. I can only imagine how upset I'd be if I wasn't already aware based on the JP server's status. That said, I would absolutely shell out for an ENG TL of the offline version, if that's what's in the works. I'm just not expecting it.
>>
Mh, great, now I have one less reason to even go on Nutaku. Probably for the best. So, do we archive stuff ?

The only archival effort I am aware of is spearheaded by an anon that we have not heard from in a year. If you'd like to download what they managed to upload, see https://sukebei.nyaa.si/user/HanabiHanabiHanabi

It's obviously too late to start archiving JP scenes (if you have them already, good for you) but if you want to try your hand at recording some of the EN content, check against what's already uploaded. I'll be doing the same when I have spare time this week.
>>
>>1374026
Not just a full month
EOS for japan was announced on 23/08/23
game only closed on 31/10/23.

They had over 2 months, 69 days form announcement to server closing and I remember they also imediately closed the paid jewels
Looking like we'd have under 3 weeks, and I doubt theyd refund ongoing monthly packs.

Seems only hope atm is somehow nutaku fighting to hold onto it and make a zombie game out of it which can be argued if it wouldnt be an even worse fate...
>>
>>1374534
I believe that they are still compiling a bunch of content even when JP was around. They just haven't uploaded them yet.

I won't pretend that there is no reason to want archived stuff right away even with the offline version coming since there will be a few things left out, but I do want to mention that the offline version will also have studio mode for those who want the models. In fact, as seen here, >>1371111, it looks like a few fans have already gotten the models and have been using them.

Also, slightly a tangent, but I keep forgetting that the offline version will also be on sale since contributors will already be getting a key. Wonder if this will be a high seller since it will basically be sort of like a visual novel like some on the Discord have said. And there is arguably a lot more content too even without the battles.

Imagine it getting on Steam. Would probably be easier than the other literal eroge on there since the h content has never been overly tied to this game.
>>
>>1374539
Yeah, I severely low balled how much time. EOS coming isn't weird. What is weird would be that it looks like it wasn't announced even on CN like I thought earlier today. It is apparently the data mine that they are talking about.

I also feel like the end of last year would've been a perfect way to end early if they didn't want to do that with the anniversary event JP had last year.
>>
This is mostly unprompted, but I still do plan on making new threads when appropriate. Even without the project updates, there are still things to discuss and fan works that are still bring made. I still want to eventually do some analysis on the characters, but I don't know when that would be.

Kinda scummy it took so long. Lots of people have said it already, but it really sucks that they couldn't do anything like JP did. Oh well. Though, looking at some responses on the Discord, I get the impression that some people don't know about the offline version.

I go back to what I already said and hope that the offline version gets big. Especially since I think the SFW will be the "main" one (as in the more easily accessible one) with the DX version to be sent out separately.
>>
Now I'm wondering if the offline version will have the farewell stories since those were kinda more on the meta side, and the story will finish up with the audio drama.
>>
>>1375900
It depends where they sell it. I also hope it sells very well, need more of these girls.
>>
>>1375913
What were the farewell stories like? I missed the whole JP EOS drama.
>>
>>1377383
I only heard about Cocoa & Aka. Cocoa I think had her graduate and think about her future as a fashion designer (I think). With Aka, people said that it went into some of her psychology and made some subtexual things more apparent, like issues of self worth.

Maybe someone has already archived them, but it was a bit of a shame they weren't talked about more. Random guess, but maybe the game not dying a bloody death and not being sentenced to obscurity dulled the bittersweetness of the farewell episodes. That, and the game has already featured a bunch of stories about possible futures.

Speaking of character psychology, I'm looking through the Discord, and I always thought that it was easy for some to miss the complexities of each of the girls
>>
Just in case anyone missed it, things aside from just the main story are being targeted as well for the offline version. Basically, everything aside from collaborations, online functionality, and the combat are planned to be in.

I mention this since someone else thought they may leave out things like the birthdays, and it would've been a shame to lose some of the extra dialogue/stories.

Kindle's own translator seems half way decent so it is possible to try to read a machine translation, but it still annoys me how characters like Aka have their names read as something different like "Tan". I do wonder if it's possible to train an AI to fix itself by feeding it scripts as to how these characters would talk or at least know how to refer to different things.

Kyounyu Fantasy Burst has some very thorough animated h-scenes, but the rest of the game runs rather poorly. Most Kuma-san games tend to have good animation. I don't think I've found one that has a separate viewer that lets you play with animation itself however.
Story-wise, I don't know. Nobody else does this sort of multi-universe setting where your girls have different lives/situations in alternate universes and uses that as a main part of the story. Nobody really does a fixed cast either, if they do, it's only a handful of girls that get revisited for seasonal limiteds.

If the original Fate/stay night visual novel can finally get an official remaster released outside of Japan, anything is possible.

Also, while I assume most anons here visit the offcial Discord, lots of people have been doing archival work. A few people have even uploaded content to YouTube.

Also also, MGCM got a reward from Campfire for the successful crowdfunding campaign. Hopefully that brings more attention to it.

I think they mentioned on the main Discord that they have finished. There is another user who has most of the content but is still deciding if/when/how to release it.

Semi related, but does anyone who has a background in this stuff know who hard it would be to rip the scripts from the global version and swap them when the offline version comes? I'm curious if the workload would be less since this game had an official localization.

Also, is anyone else here a backer? Some on Discord seem to have the thought that nobody outside of Japan is one since there was concern that there would be no way of getting access.

I had a more thorough response to this but deleted it since it's not really worth explaining every time. And I started wanting to watch scenes I neglected to record.
The demon/monster girls are technically the other girls.
The MC takes on a different role in each story (if he even exists in that story) and the h-scenes are never related to each other and are showing a good end or a bad end for that particular story - which you can't normally view anyway for context.

>>1415367
>The background they have for her is kinda dark
Everyone had some sort of messed up background but I think Iroha and Iko had the most normal backgrounds.
>Lefty
I see what you mean. Though I guess she's not part of the original "possibilities" with that background and being in a separate world.
>>
>>1419681

>Everyone had some sort of messed up background but I think Iroha and Iko had the most normal backgrounds.

Yeah. Even the token "vanilla" school group isn't exactly sunshine. They don't always draw attention to it for some of them, but it is definitely still there. It is sort of a shame we never got more of Aka and Ao's family. I think they and maybe Akisa are the only ones where we don't get that much, which is weird considering their situation.

As for the the unreleased blonde girl who I guess is named Yanagi Yuzuki (based on the kanji and the accompanying hiragana), take this with a grain of salt since this is using machine translation, but her deal is something about her father dying by either suicide or homicide by Yuzuki or her mother (translation unclear) with her apparently being happy that it happened since daddy was alcoholic and a gambler. And her father may have also attempted to molest her? Even if he didn't some guy from school did try to do that, and all of this resulted in her not liking men and preferring women romantically.
>>
>>1419698
>spoilers
Oh, I could've told you that, I was making a dumb joke.
Father: Became a fleeter/parttimer after being let go from an engineering job. Wasted away money on gambling and booze. At some point started molesting her and eventually raped her
Mother: Was working part-time at a grocery store to cover for the wastfeulness of the father. Killed the father over distress, commits suicide thereafter. She thinks her mother did this to protect her
At school: One invites her to his house and rapes her
This all results in her hating men and liking cute girls
There's some more details like mannerisms.

I don't know if there was anything more to do with Aka and Ao's family. You know that they are twins right? but to separate fathers. I believe this was what usually caused Aka to not return home on occasion, to avoid conflict. Didn't really get into Ao's stories much, so I don't know if there wasn't something else being told there.

Also, thanks for clarifying the parts of new girl's story. Yeesh, it wasn't even "just" attempted. Pretty terrible all around, and a bit of a shame that we couldn't see more of this new world line. Definitely wanted to see more of Quantum.

One last thing; here is the zip that someone dropped in the discord with profiles for some other characters, including that Hoshino girl. Qrd please? Dead already?

huh? what do you mean?

Thanks for the clarification. Still tough all around, and it is strangely ironic that this kind of back story is only now being used when the series had a much edgier phase back in the day.

The physical return gifts have been sent out. I think most people should have gotten the gifts by now, but it'll take longer for me since I need to have it shipped to my country.

Thanks again for the recommendation. The service is not cheap on the surface, but it isn't exactly outlandish when looking at all the fees other third party places charge on top of the shipping itself. I was happily surprised to get 2 shirts, so I may actually wear one of them from time to time.

I remember a while ago that someone did an animation with Marianne and used one of those meme songs. Anyone has a link to that video?

I just noticed the Magicami artist nuked his socials.

I'll post it once I fix my PC. It was the last thread iirc.

Any news?

Not too much, no. There was a party held a while ago for certain campaign backers where they showed a few things (and also had a Cocoa cut out), but not too much else. I did hear someone say something about the studio doing another project, but I think that may have been a baseless rumor. Would be happy to be wrong, though.

Aside from that, they finally released high resolution pictures of the demon kings.

Also, the official unofficial Discord has a few things in the archives thread for some of the unreleased data. It may not mean much necessarily, but there were sketches of a new line called Last Magica. Sort of reinforces that the story was going to end in the next year or so, so we thankfully didn't miss out on huge amounts of story.

And they release a developer diary soon after this.

Anyway, everything seems to be going smoothly with them still aiming for September. They aim to finish development by the end of May and spend the rest of the time debugging.

Most of the features are already done, too. Some things to note would be that Omnis enhancement is in along with "jewel related functions" and plans for a gacha feature.

I think the only thing that hasn't been explicitly mentioned in the diary would be those special expedition quests. Aside from that and the combat, looks like everything is in. Even a sound player and what I assume is the gift giving side thing.

I think the only issue they are reporting would be long load times for the dress list due to how it used to be done through the server. But they are working on shortening the load time.

Cool. Yeah the loading times was extremely noticeable especially in the web version.

I'm still mad the third season was never completed and the fourth game was never adapted.

I still wonder if they had to re-record the voices

>It's very unlikely this is getting on Steam They are extremely prudish around loli content
Some eroge with loli content released last month on Steam, something about living with little sister or some such.
>>
>>1452752
Imouto Life Monochrome? It doesn't have sexual content, you have to patch it in
>>
>>1452781
>you have to patch it in
So? They could do the same for Magicami on Steam.
>>
>>1452784
I doubt they even know what Steam is
>>
>>1452791
DMM and nutaku both publish on Steam.
>>
>>1452799
It's better if the studio self-publishes it otherwise DMM/Nutaku would get a cut of the sales
>>
I do want to mention that the version that will be front facing would be the vanilla version. The DX version will be released through an emailed code. In other words, when considering how there was already a SFW version, I don't think they would have trouble publishing it widely. The issue would be if they want to publish on other fronts.

I am still mad
