For a while now I've had a thing for 2D men speaking in keigo but I'm pretty sure he solidified it into an actual kink for me. If the character is topping or topping from the bottom, it makes them sound stricter and more detached/impersonal while also emphasizing their level of composure and adding an extra humiliation element for the bottom. it also makes dirty talk hotter. And if they're bottoming, the gap between trying their best to keep up the formal/professional style of speech and remaining polite while getting their brains fucked out is also hot. 'I am Emmet' became 'I'm Emmet' in his new scene in Nimbasa City but the rest of the original script for the Battle Subway was kept. His 'Follow the rules. 'I'm Emmet' is a better rendering of 'Boku Kudari' because it's less syllables, and his 'safe driving' line doesn't have a pause after 'follow the rules'. It's actually a slight pet peeve when people write him always saying 'I am Emmet' and rarely do contractions. His casual speech style stands out even more because the depot agents speak formally too, since it's a customer service role and all, which adds extra interest to his character for me.
