Spoink is actually really good for an unevolved mon. High special attack and good speed, great early game sweeper. His evolution is where he falls off.

Spoink is great for Flannery. It has great special defense and Thick Fat which helps it tank Fire attacks. Like the other anon mentioned it has good special attack too and learns Psybeam upon being caught. Grumping is pretty good as well if you put Calm Mind on it.

It does require trading but if you are emulating you can try the universal pokemon randomizer. It changes trade evolutions. You can find on the original site which changes are made (what level haunter will evolve for example)

I think I'm using the same QOL hack, is it the same one that adds all the event pokemon? There's some weird shit going on with the rotom forms in that game. I tried swapping my rotom to the oven since I needed a fire type but it still said it was a ghost type on the status screen for some reason.

I'm playing Black for the first time and have a Dewott, Leavanny, Sandile and just got Sigilyph.
I want Mienshao, Chandelure and Haxorus, but only got 2 slots left.
Which 2 are better to get?

The earliest one of these you can obtain, has stab fire and ghost which should be helpful against brycen, Caitlin, and shauntal, definitely go for this one

Can be obtained a bit later than a litwick, great defensive typing since dragon only has two weaknesses but the only two gym leaders left specialize in those two types. In addition, the final bosses both use dragons with higher stats and one also has a vanilluxe so you won't get many chances to do much with haxorus.

Obtained slightly later than axew in the grass before dragonspiral tower, fighting is a less effective defensive typing but everything brycen and grimsley use, half of one of the final bosses' team, and two thirds of the other's team is weak to fighting, so I'd say it's the better one here.
However, both fraxure and mienfoo evolve late so I wouldn't recommend using either unless you're planning to grind to around level 50 before the elite four
By the way, you should probably get a boldore if you haven't beaten elesa yet since she uses emolgas
