there was this pokemon clone on roblox that i’ve seen in the curated top picks part of the home page
it’s called Tales of Tanorio and it was uh alright
maps were pretty but dialog scrolled a bit slowly and the difficulty was laughable, because even if I didn’t overlevel my starter because there wasn’t much reason to try new mons out, the game’s trainer AI is worse than gen 1 as it overuses status moves even when going for an attack would be better
also, the fire starter basically solos almost every fight except the like two trainers that use roc-i mean gem type moves in the game up until i stopped shortly after the second badge from boredom

the game’s low difficulty might have also stemmed from me winning the starter IV and nature lottery as I got a +spe nature on my fire starter (which I chose because I’ve played enough pokemon games/fangames/romhacks/bootlegs to know that fire is one of the least common early game types) and every IV was at least 19 with the spread being 19/30/30/30/20/21
and as I mentioned having good or at least okay matchups against almost everything (except that one cave area) helped
overall it’s better than i expected given the low standards of roblox but i wouldn’t go out of my way to play it

Cobble afaik doesn't have TMs implemented yet. There's a mod that lets you teach TMs to a Pokemon if you also have a Pokemon that learns that move.

Process driven indicates what you described which is how it actually works. Both mods are just completely data driven and don't take any steps to patch that for TMs.

I'm not arguing for the methodology, but the way the data is laid out in Cobblemon is that Zygarde can't be taught the TM for Draco Meteor because there is never a game where that's the case. But the point is this argument is retarded either way, Cobblemon doesn't have TMs to implement this, and the only option is an addon like SimpleTMs that explicitly has an option to include Move Tutor and Egg moves as TMs in the config. In which case Zygarde can in fact learn Draco Meteor by TM, using basically the same convoluted logic you are using the justify that Zygarde would, if it was in Scarlet/Violet.
