Imagine if certain hairstyles would increase the appeal for the contest they are in, like, the one with red fur has more appeal in the Cool contests. Although that would mean that every contest would have furfrow, so that's boring. Either way, it is no longer relevant tho; stuff like this have been featured even in games considered good like the Gen5 musical (i love musicals but they lack subtance entirely)
