Wire multiple Pokemon evolving in battle and evolving twice in the same battle? How do you jump from Bulbasaur to Blastoise in the same battle? It makes no cense lore wise.

Pokemon evolving is well established lore.

>evolving twice in the same battle
Each TCG turn is the equivalent of an entire battle in the game. The entire TCG match is the equivalent of every battle you have ever had with that trainer.

Subtle lore tidbit, but they aren't actually pokemon. They are cards inspired by pokemon to be used to play a game. They are actually just flat images of pokemon with some rules attached.

Maybe because it’s an actual card game in lore and not an abstraction of an actual battle??
>>

the card game is a card game even in universe

Neither does pokemon evolving each time you battle, having less types and being able to use more than 6 mons in a battle.

It makes perfect sense.
