Here's a challenge:
Come up with ten of your own unique features that have never been in a pokemon game yet. Then assign one to each gen based on which one you think needs each one most.
It can't an improvement on something. Must be original.

Gen 9: Nudity/sex with all of the characters.

That's all I can think of at the moment.
>>
If you play RBY on Stadium and have the mic inserted you can command your Pokemon to dodge enemy attacks

When starting a new game of Crystal you have the option to use that IR sensor thing, and if you link up with someone who already made it to the Hall of Fame in GSC it'll unlock the option to start in Kanto and the the trainers & bosses all have their levels swapped.

You can send trainers from Colosseum and Gale of Darkness over to battle you in the Gen 3 games if you link them up

I don't care enough to try and improve the rest

im not doing that

Here’s a response that outlines ten unique features that have never been in a Pokémon game, along with their assignment to each generation based on where they could fit best:
1. Pokémon Fusion System

A feature that allows you to combine two Pokémon into a single hybrid with mixed typings and stats, creating unique fusion designs.
Assigned to: Gen V – The Unova region experimented with lore-heavy ideas (e.g., Kyurem’s fusions), so a broader implementation would fit here.
2. Dynamic Weather Battles

Battles where the weather changes dynamically each turn (e.g., sunny to rain to sandstorm), impacting strategy and moves.
Assigned to: Gen III – Introduced weather mechanics but could use something innovative to make the Hoenn region's climate more interactive.
3. Build-Your-Own Gym

A feature where you design and customize your gym (puzzles, trainers, and theme) and have NPCs or other players challenge it.
Assigned to: Gen VIII – Galar already emphasized gyms, making it a fitting addition.
4. Pokémon Voice Training

Teach Pokémon to mimic human phrases or unique cries that impact their interactions and battles.
Assigned to: Gen II – Known for focusing on Pokémon personality and interactions, this could expand the charm of the Johto region.
5. Multiplayer Villain Campaign

A mode where players join a villainous team and work together to complete missions that alter the game world.
Assigned to: Gen VI – Kalos's Team Flare lacked depth, so this would enhance their role and lore.
6. Procedurally Generated Dungeons

Infinite, procedurally generated dungeons with rare loot and Pokémon to encourage exploration.
Assigned to: Gen IV – Sinnoh already had an underground exploration mechanic, so this feature could elevate it.
7. Cross-Region Tournaments

A tournament mode where trainers from previous regions compete, integrating nostalgia and challenging battles.
Assigned to: Gen IX – Paldea’s emphasis on schools and competition would make this a natural fit.
8. Pokémon Bond System

A feature where Pokémon remember how they were treated, developing unique behaviors and attitudes (e.g., refusal to battle if treated poorly).
Assigned to: Gen VII – Alola already had a focus on trainer-Pokémon relationships, making this a natural extension.
9. Alternate Evolution Paths

Pokémon that can evolve differently based on unusual choices (e.g., letting them faint in specific conditions or not using them for extended periods).
Assigned to: Gen I – Kanto could benefit from more evolution creativity to make early Pokémon more dynamic.
10. Fully Interactive Ecosystems

Pokémon interact in real-time ecosystems where players can observe natural predator-prey behaviors and symbiotic relationships.
Assigned to: Gen X (future gen) – This feature would require significant hardware improvements, so it fits better in a future generation.

That's PWT.

>Then assign one to each gen based on which one you think needs each one most.
fuck this, have 2 good ideas for a new gen
>Fusion attacks
Gen gimmic, pick an attack (base) and a second attack (effect) launch the first attack with the strenght and the type of the first attack and the secondary effects of the second one, the pokemon must know both attacks, you can use it once for each swap.
>Pokemons having fears/dislikes
Add a phobia or a dislike to a pokemon, that way even if the pokemon isn't weak to an attack it gets super effective damage to that type. The phobia type is public in online games .
>>
>>57202583
My unique feature is "the bad game is good now"
And it applies to gen you're favorite
>>
The order of typing is important, e.g. resistances are reduced to not very effective if the otherwise resistant type is 2nd, and STAB prefers the first type, so all 18^2 possible type combinations get to shine.
>>
>>57202583
You can use your own gimmick slot to cancel out/prevent an opponent's gimmick. This can apply to gens 6-9 where you can do this at any time to prevent ever having to see that shit in battles. You can even do it while their gimmick is active for extra fun.

Fuck off AIfag
Also,
>Kalos’s Team Flare lacked depth
How did it know?
>>
>>57202583
>Gen 1
De-evolution item.
>Gen 2
Randomly generated simulation Pokemon to fight for experience and money. Maybe don't even have them be real Pokemon; just straight random types, stats, moves.
>Gen 8
A Pokemon that evolves by taking the joycons off your Switch and doing something silly with them.
