Was it really necessary to have it be primarily set in Kanto with a bunch of OCs as the supporting cast instead of Galar where they could actually feature the new Pokemon and game characters? When I think back, even though most episodes took place in Kanto, there were rarely any character or past locations from the OS that returned which would've only been possible if it was in Kanto. Even Battle Frontier made better use of revisiting Kanto and that season also mostly made up new OCs and locations.
