I got one of those as a kid because I was dumb and didn't notice I picked up a used copy of Emerald. I never got past the 7th gym because of corrupted saves and I never was able to trade or battle with others because it would corrupt my save. It's probably the reason why I'm not nostalgic for gen 3 in the slightest.
