Split on them. Manectric is my favourite pokemon, and its mega butchered its design. At the same time, Megas are also the only way pokemon like Beedrill and Mawile can be viable.I'd prefer if pokemon that were weak just got inherent buffs to their base forms (BST buffs, new moves, new abilities, etc.) instead, so that these buffs carried across from generation to generation, rather than being potentially screwed over because they only benefitted from a gimmick for one or two gens.

Megas are based and there’s a reason they’re the only gimmick to show up in spin offs. New forms are just cool. Blaziken going super saiyan will never not be fun to me. If you want to add a generic version for comp fags that’s fine. I don’t think it needs to be in every game. But I will enjoy it every time they include mega evolutions.
