Together we weakened the beast, and I seized the chance to capture Eternatus, ending the Darkest Day and saving Galar.With peace restored, the Champion Cup resumed. At last, I faced Leon, the reigning Champion. The match was as intense as expected. Coalossal led against Aegislash, setting up Stealth Rock before enduring a Sacred Sword. Coalossal struck back with Heat Crash, toppling Aegislash. Against Haxorus, I sent out Corviknight, who powered up with Hone Claws while Haxorus locked itself into Outrage. Once it hurt itself in confusion, Corviknight delivered a decisive Brave Bird. Sandaconda battled Dragapult, summoning a sandstorm and trapping it with Sand Tomb. Though Dragapult struck back with Dragon Breath, the swirling sands finished it off.
Then came disaster. Toxtricity faced Rillaboom, but before it could act, a crushing High Horsepower ended its run. Furious, Corviknight swooped in and downed Rillaboom with Drill Peck. Falinks entered against Rhyperior, setting up No Retreat and striking with Reversal, but Rhyperior’s Earthquakes proved too much, and Falinks fell. Wanting to end it quickly, I sent in Inteleon, who blasted Rhyperior with a clean Snipe Shot, knocking it out instantly.Finally, Leon brought out his ace, Charizard. It Dynamaxed, roaring defiantly, but Stealth Rock had already chipped its health. I Dynamaxed Inteleon, who barely endured a devastating Max Overgrowth before countering with Max Geyser. The rain poured down as Charizard fell, sealing my victory.After an unforgettable battle, Leon was defeated, and I was crowned the new Champion of the Galar region.
