We all know the games are in need of serious fucking improvement and major changes.

But what is something minor and nitpicky you would change? For me it's the new Pokemon sizes. You should be able to see the size number as soon as you get your Pokedex/ROTOM. You should not have to beat the game and do sidequests to unlock this feature.
