i love the early-route normal/flying pokemon!they’re such an iconic part of the pokemon experience!

I like that they've been slowly making them more distinct since gen 6 while still not making them busted. Talonflame was good but not obscene and they nerfed it next gen; Toucannon was a step back on purpose (I still wish it was a steel/flying special attacker, imagine), then Corviknight got on everyone's favorites list (even I don't particularly like it that much.), and Kilowattrel is absolute kino, top 50 designs in the series for me.I hope their next one is Flying/Ice, would be nice to get a new mon of that type combo.

I think the overall trend was still to stick to normal/flying til gen 6 though, as there was no ambiguity nor "default/standard regional bird" to make talonflame play second fiddle to unlike in hoenn.
