The concept itself isn’t awful, giving people a reward for ranked battles, but why the Kalos starters? These are arguably the Pokémon people are most excited for along with Flygon, why lock them up during their playthrough? They could have done a better job, like making it the Mewtwo or hell, even hoenn starter stones. It sucks cuz I’m genuinely super hyped and I wanted to use Mega Delphox but I really can’t without cheating it in.
