Ashchu is probably the biggest missed opportunity in the entire Pokémon franchise in my opinion.They could've made a spinoff series or animated shorts with him. Maybe he could actually talk to the Pokémon and learn how they feel.It's literally Ash and a Pikachu combined into one; the marketing potential writes itself.

>>58265366I feel it would be good for the franchise to just outright retcon the idea of Pokémon not being able to talk by now. As in just have every Pokémon be able to talk by default. Or if not a full retcon, introduce some new commonplace in-universe method or device for Trainers easily communicate with Pokémon.It'd really have so many positive results for the franchise.
