For anyone who ever complained about this.
I want you to remember that the original battle mansions in Pokémon Emerald were very repetitive.
Sure, they were unique ways to experience Pokémon battles in a new light, but the experience still boiled down to getting a massive win streak, so you don't have to start from square one.
Instead of creating a possibly frustrating experience for the player for something that probably won't interest them past the first 5 minutes anyway, since they can just play online. The devs instead decided to focus on giving us extra content through all the legendaries and the delta episode.
Not to mention the game itself is compatible with x and y and the game had like 700 Pokémon at the time.
To put it simply, the remakes had way more interesting content than Emerald, and it has the better ost too.
ORAS really was the peak of Pokémon in my opinion, and you cannot change my mind on that.

bla bla bla
>since they can just play online
not anymore, pretendo doesn't count as very few people will use it (see gen4/5)
also no factory = worse game

Everyone forgets about the battle tower in crystal.

When people complain about the Battle Frontier not being included in ORAS, they also automatically assumed that there would be expansions to it of some kind. For starters, the Battle Frontier in Sinnoh had co-op multis throughout the entire thing. The Battle Subway introduced the "Super" trains which basically were the true tests of skill, beforehand all player could enjoy the normal trains before you had to win ridiculous streaks. Horde battles would have changed up the Pike and the Pyramid and how you approach it at the very least. Online functionality could have also meant that the Battle Tower worked as it did in the original games, where when you mixed records with people, their team would show up in the Tower at the streak that they lost at. There could have been something like the Battle Agency but at the end of gen 6 if they cared to update the Factory at all. It would have also of been nice to revisit the two strange rule facilities (Palace and Arena) and even allowed PvP battles to occur using their rulesets. Inverse battles, which were rarely ever used, could have also made their way into certain Pyramid or Pike events.
This is all on top of the fact that gen 6 was the first game that had some focus on getting nearly perfect Pokemon in an easier manner as before you pretty much only could RNG manip or inject, just in-case it became just a 1-to-1 copy and paste.
I do remember that the original Battle Frontier was repetitive, I 100%'d it with Gold Symbols without any sort of RNG manip, injection, or even online guides and opting to learn as I went and it took years. That doesn't mean you should just rip it out, it means that maybe you iterate on it in some way to bring it up to standards with the rest of the gen.
also fyi people were pissed at B2W2 not having a Battle Frontier either since the two previous games established it as a end-of-gen feature, but evidently it wasn't just a fluke that B2W2 didn't have one.
