Thread dedicated to split evos introduced in a later gen from the first form (e.g. slowking, politoed, bellossom, etc.).
>>58276019I once had I shiny Politoed in Omega Ruby but I lost my copy on the bus in middle school.
>>58276019
>>58276019Vileplume>>BellossomPoliwrath>PolitoedSlowbro<Slowking
I miss him
>>58276089wtf is this
>>58276096scratched Weepinbell alternative evolution
>>58276019Bellossom is so weird to me. Most split-evos either shuffle stats and result in a different specialty for the Pokemon or in the case of Politoed, redistribute the stats entirely, yet Bellossom just yoinks 20 points from Vileplume's Sp.Atk to go to Def and Sp.Def and takes away it's Poison type. I feel like they could have gone for something more drastic there.
>>58276019>split evos introduced in a later gen from the first formThis only happened in gens 2 and 4, no?
>>58276745The goat counts too
Tyrogue is the absolute coolest case of this
>>58276763They really should've changed Hitmontop from "balance" to Speed after introducing fucking IVs
>>58276771>wahhh wahhh pokemon shouldnt be challenging to obtain
Split evos and regional variations rock and there should be way more of them down the road
>>58276776There's a challenge and then there's literally needing to micromanage stats you can't even see because of the brand new mechanics introduced. Raising a Hitmontop is even more difficult than prolifically hated evolutions like Malamar or Runerigus, especially if you want an attack-focused one
>>58276745There's a lot more introduced after IV.Sylveon counts as a split from Eevee, Cosmoem splits into Solgaleo/Lunala, Applin splits into Flapple, Dipplin and Appletun, Charcadet splits into Armarouge/Ceruledge then there's technically the ones that split into different forms like Lycanroc which have different stats, Meowstic which have different level-up learnsets, Basculegion which has higher Atk/Sp.Atk depending on the gender, Urshifu which changes the secondary type, ability and signature move and Oinkologne which has a slightly different stat distribution. If you really want to split hairs, there's also the Regional forms that have a common pre-evolution, all of which at least have one significant change from the original, be it type, ability, stats, etc.
>>58277330> There's a lot more introduced after IVThe only ones that fits what OP is talking about are Sylveon, Dipplin, and Hydrapple.
>>58276019We were fucking ROBBED.
>>58276031I thought it would be the other way around. That surprised me for sure
>>582767458 and 9 also with kleavor and dipplin/hydrapple.
Carnivine was meant to be a split evolution of Wepinbell but they scrapped it
>>58276031Maybe if they hadn't stripped toed of its niche and gave it and more to pelipper than it'd be more even
