I'm still baffled they called the new megas "Z" and called it a day. They already retconned Dialga and Palkia nameless base forms into "modified formes" like Giratina's and fused both Xerneas forms (basicaly erasing one), why not renaming Mega Lucario into "Mega Lucario A"? I understand why they wouldn't name them X and Y, because the Z ones have a special characteristic, but that would still work if they were named Z and A. And not only it would make sense as another pair>gen 6 establisheing X Megas and Y Megas>gen 9 establishes A Megas and Z MegasIt would also be another reference to the mega evolution games since Z-A = Ω-α
