Anyway, in the recent games, Affection is not a separate thing to Friendship anymore from being merged into Friendship. Now the higher Friendship values cause the Affection effects. But they also adjusted things in accordance with this, but only some things. 255 Friendship or 235 Friendship would mean a Pokémon doing the Affection effects if you want to be able to Mega Evolve according that requirement you want.
