Why are these things so ridiculously scarce?
>>58810016>handcrafted made to order coca-cola the old fashioned way>mass produced fast fashion ballshitgee I wonder
It's a shame they didn't get the PLA idea until recently because retconning their designs to just be standard PokeBalls in HGSS due to "consistency" instead of portraying them more naturally would've been a really cool difference to include. The details didn't matter much in an 8-bit game but they really should be more common nowadays if they're just normal Pokeballs
>>58810016Level Ball - Ampharos, BeedrillLure Ball - Feraligatr lineMoon Ball - Umbreon, Clefairy lineHeavy Ball - SnorlaxFast Ball - Pikachu lineLove Ball - Jigglypuff line, Chansey lineFriend Ball - Scyther, Spinarak, Caterpie, Bellossom, Natu line
Not in ZA anymore.
Didn't X/Y Lumiose have a ball boutique with the apricorns on display but not for sale?
>>58810016They're hand-crafted, while most modern Poke Balls aren't.Z-A reaffirms what we already knew; most modern Poke Balls are mass-produced in factories, and they're technological in nature and can thus be hacked and infected with computer viruses.
Fucking glad that rare pokeballs and shinies aren't a bitch anymore.
GF embraced rare balltism after seeing everyone value transfer-only balls in gen 6
>>58810242Pokeballs, sure. Shinies, their rarity is what made them special. Now they're just recolors of existing pokemon.
>>58810016Legends Z-A is the most available they’ve ever been. Completely shits on Item Printer grinding.
>>58810016Because they are shitty products only retards get from a scammer in a backwater town in a fake region
>>58810211that would have made for a neat generational gimmick
>>58810359You get your shiny Celebi or Arceus yet anon?
>>58810016Because it's a dying art that only one guy we know of makes.
>Because it's a dying art that only one guy we know of makes.
>>58810050I'm pretty sure they were a regular pokeball type in the pokemon anime before HGSS
I've a better question, who the fuck cares?
>>58810016What irks me even more is why there hasn't been anyone else in any other region making a new set of these things with unique designs. The last new ball we got was the Beast Ball if you don't count the PLA ones and the placeholder one for HOME.
I'm surprised we don't have Poke Balls for each type yet. We've got the Net Ball for Bug and Water types, but that's it
are the PLA balls in ZA code?
>>58810421>that would have made for a neat generational gimmickI mean, if GF, instead of being assblasted they got one up'd in their game, let Orre being canon, the Snag Machine could give us some interesting opportunities in other gens.
>>58811567>Orre>one up'dDon't know whether to call you a schizo or someone who never played the Orre games, so I'll call you both.
>>58810016transparent pokeballs were a PEAK idea nad I'm sad the franchise ignored it beyond the manga.I swear to god some toys used transparent pokeballs, though, and it looked just as amazing in real life
>>58810211We knew this since SV, technically even earlier, as far back as Colosseum. In SV the Paradise Protection Protocol initiates a lockdown on all Pokeballs not registered to the professor, which forces the player to send out the cowardly raidon to battle because their own wouldn't come out. In Colosseum/Gale of Darkness the Snag Machines override the Pokeball registration process to enable them to catch Pokemon already registered to another Pokeball. In both instances Pokeballs are hacked.
>>58812442This concept appeared in the anime before the games, we saw they had to use a machine to trade Pokemon even in person. The Porygon episode expands on this even more, showing how Pokeballs allow for digitization and transfer within a network. It's obviously something that's been in the GF series bibles and dripfed over time in different media
>>58811056Anime became a grift after Orange Islands. Lost all of its creative integrity by that point
>>58810050The official Gen 2 artwork also showed looking the same as standard Poke Balls.
>>58813521The anime also had young Oak (Sammy) using an older model of Poke Ball from 40 years ago that had to be unscrewed
