They should be balanced, let mega stones be Knock-ed Off and Trick-ed, let Z-moves be fully Protect-ed, let Dynamax be fully Protect-ed and Grass Knot-ed, let Terastallize be Soak-ed. The way they "cheat" gimmicks and simplify them removes all counters and limits strategies.But yeah, Terra is hideous.
I thought Terastalization was the best of the modern gimmicks from a conceptual standpoint, but it looks stupid and ugly and it's slow as shit. When playing the game I treated it like Z-Moves, in that there's no reason NOT to use them other than I don't need to and I don't want this fight to take twice as long as it needs to.

What was your favorite tera/poke combo?In regulation I, Caly Ice became extremely common in the ranked ladder for a time where I felt like every other battle was one. I ran tera-fire Giratina to completely wall all the most popular sets. Non-tera'd it had favorable matchups into the most popular Koraidon sets. Forced teras out of Caly Shadows too because of priority sneak.

>>58813273The idea of a crown for each Pokémon Type with that visual effect is cool. But the problem visually is that the crowns are hideous. Having proper crowns for each Type would look cool, not those hideous things. Maybe they thought it was funny or maybe they thought they needed each to be as totally obvious as the what Type they are. If the latter then not only is that not necessary and even then some aren't obvious anyway.Other than that it might be my favourite of the generational super mechanics.

Lets be real, you weren't going to dyna anyone but kyogre and you can find only a few instances where someone didn't just do it on their restricted.You can complain that Megas were feast or famine and not universal, but ultimately they were only mons equivalent to a restricted or psuedo. Everyone had access to them and you could build teams around them.
