Ah yes. The next Gen shillmon that they made too much of a hassle to get in its debut generation

They repeated this mistake with Zoroark.

>Munchlax
Just breed a Snorlax. Sure it's post-game, but DP already made the mistake of making half it's new fucking dex post-game

>>58814423
This is infinitely more embarrassing
>To get Zorua or Zoroark, you need a legendary event specifically released for one of the lowest selling DS releases at the end of the game's lifespan when the DS hype had hard died down and if you don't have them, you can't even get them in the game at ALL. This is in SPITE of the game's entire focus being on brand new Pokemon and being totally unable to use old ones until post game

What the actual fuck was Masuda thinking
>>
In the first 4 gens there was always a mon that was harder to obtain than the trio and legendries. Pisses me off.

It took me about a month to catch Munchlax. I wasn’t even using a calculator, but one of the trees I was checking just outside Floaroma Town was one of the 4/26 that could spawn it. Ironically, the day after I used the calculator a single time is when he spawned too

i don't think there was in gen 2, there were rare encounters but they weren't retarded like say feebas or spiritomb or chansey

>Check it out, this Pokémon disguises itself as a different one!
>IN THE SAME GAME THAT INTRODUCED TEAM PREVIEWS

I remember being a kid who was very confused where to find Muchlax. The pokedex said it was everywhere but the honey trees never worked. Post game I was able to use the incense but that was so lame

Imagine if this was munchlax sleeping in the way instead of psyduck. Would have been kino
>>
>>58814528
yeah they could have tied it in with honey. munchlax or vespiquen/combee
>>
>>58814423
>mistake
Ot was all part of their plan: lure in fans with early promotions then make them play game for hours until you get it to try to get them hooked.
>>
>>58814442
I hate how Action Replays are needed to fully enjoy 2D gens
>>
>>58814618
>tied it in with honey
That would have been interesting.

Ironically, honey was cut from GSC and replaced with just using headbutt to streamline the system. They had the better part of a decade to improve on the honey system, but somehow made it worse.
>>

lol
>>
>>58814408
Oh no I can’t get the mediocre baby Pokemon
>>
Even after DP, Snorlax is usually available as a fully evolved Pokemon. Ive never seen Munchlax in the wild.
>>
>>58814528
Don’t care. It gave me another excuse to meet up with my wife Cynthia
>>
>>58817936
munchlax line is one of the best pokemon in the game, just its availability is ass
>>
>>58814408
baby pokemon were a mistake
