It's pretty fun to play the games while also seeing and interacting with other trainers, you're basically just replaying the games featured but with more people. Dunno anything about endgame, but I enjoyed the time I spent on it.

i like it quite a lot, the npcs are designed to be much harder than in normal pokemon, so playing through it can be quite rewarding
also highly recommend if you already like mmorpgs
