Samurott is my favorite starter of all times
I have fond memories of Serperior because my brother always picked the grass types and the snake was his favorite
Emboar grew on me over time, I used to think about him as the jobber of the trio because in my games he ends up as Bianca's starter. But nowadays Bianca is one of my favorite human Characters and that love also goes to Emboar.

I've always thought Emboar had a sick design. I love his tusks and flame beard, I love his cylindrical wristless arms, his fat body and stubby legs. I even like the pattern on his belly when I normally hate random markings on pokemon.
but Serperior's always going to be my favorite of the three, and my favorite of all starters, simply for being my first. it's a design that just clicks in a way that's hard to describe. plus, he was my first.
