I really wish we had got online multiplayer for contests in ORAS, it would have been interesting to see a sort of contest meta exist, theoretically it is still possible for a contest meta to exist if a good way to play it in online multiplayer was found and enough people were interested. Also, I really would like a full side game focussed on Pokémon Contests, where it's made as in-depth as Pokémon Battles are. Pokémon Contests are such a great idea, feeling like a true proper alternative concept to Pokémon Battles both in-universe and in-gameplay, it just needs its potential expanded on. It feels too good of an idea to merely stay as some side thing in simplified form with only local multiplayer at best.

Even if it flopped, at least we would have got at least one hopefully good attempt to try to make Pokémon Contests be in the gameplay focus, and if it has online multiplayer then that would be fun while it lasts. It all really could go many ways. Like they could have loads of microtransactions for it which wouldn't be good at all.
