This is hopium powered speculation but hear me out. The leaks suggested that GF were at the very least considering a gen 1-4 MMO. Now, what if that will be their way of doing remakes going forward? They could follow with a US based MMO in gen 11 (Expanded Unova, Orre, Alola, maybe something new) and a Europe MMO for gen 12 with Kalos, Galar and Paldea.
Here's hoping that the world doesn't end by then.

You'll be in a hub town in some unknown region and get to travel to individual cities/town/locations of interest in the four regions via flying on CHARIZARD. The cities wont be as big as Lumiose in Legends ZA and you wont be able to leave them though. This will be the formula going forward.
