Do you take your time playing pokemon?
No i always speedrun the retarded "story" tutorial to get to the real game as fast as i can.
some games are horrible to play without speed up. Like gen 7. Sure it's fine for the first playthrough but jesus christ it's fucking torture to replay those games without speed up.
>>58935622Yes because I'm not playing through the game more than once.
>>58935622Often.I talk to every Npc and overworld Pokemon.I search every trash can.I look at pictures and messages on walls. When I get a fishing rod, I make sure to stop and fish six times at a new route with water. I don’t really speed blitz the game or at least I try not to. This is a big reason I don’t play the newer gen’s. The newer games do not really encourage exploration and expect you to rush through the game as fast as possible and wait warmly for DLC that should have been in the game already.
>>58935636Same>>58935622Yes because I realized that the game is the grind. All of the tedious time consuming shit is the game itself. Leveling mons, fighting wild mons over and over, organizing your inventory and box, exploring, talking to npcs, farming berries, breeding egg move mons, catching the same mon multiple times to find the one with the best stats. Thats all part of the game. Battles are like the icing on the cake. They might be the tastiest part of the game but eating a cake made entirely out of icing spoils the experience for yourself.
>>58935622I used to explicitly prefer playing the games in a very incremental way, spreading out the journey over months and playing roughly 1-2 hours a day every few days, completing as much of the content as possible (filling out the dex, playing the side content, doing daily/timebased stuff etc etc). But playing that way would always result in me giving up somewhere down the line after losing interest. Now I do the opposite and just binge play them, completing them in a week or 2, and lo and behold I can actually finish them consistently now. It’s unfortunate but I just don’t have the patience to take my time in a game where I’ve already discovered everything. I think what made it possible for me to sink hundreds of hours into a Pokémon game as a kid was the fact that it was still mysterious to me, so it always felt like there was a possibility of finding something new around any corner. Every now and then I’d find an item I couldn’t get to before when backtracking through old areas, or a side area I missed, even hundreds of hours in. Nowadays it’s difficult to not just clean sweep everything since I already have it all memorized. It’s sad but that’s the result of having played these games so much.

>>58935667Just play a new game or wait a while between playthroughs. I love Emerald but if I replayed it all the time it would really kill the magic. Never understood the people who ritually play through the same game hundreds of times.
>>58935622I enjoy stalling the computer trainers out with poison and leech seed, you tell me.
>>58935622Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.If I don't feel like training one Pokémon, I just bomb it with Rare Candies, and use whatever evo item it needs so I can have his data in the dex.But when I enjoy fighting with one new Pokémon, I take my time until I'm satisfied with it or I make it part of my team.
>>58935622Completed BW nuzlocke in 60 hours. So yeah, shit was chill af and i enjoyed it so much.
Depends on the game. I like to take my time on doing the things I want. But when it comes to things like Sun and moon. I mash through the lilly sections. And ZA I mash through all the dialogue as fast as possible. I enjoyed lots of the npc's and the fun areas. But sometimes you just get a characters or stories that you cant really care about. Lily is stupid, and forces you along her route. I don't have that gif of the cordoned off roads leading to lilly sitting in a restaurant, but you get the idea. The npc's in za are stupid. Don't give me options if they don't mean anything and stop making me fly over to an npc for a cutscene that could have been done over the phone. If I have to report in for the same shit more than twice. I'm skipping all the dialogue because it's always going to be the same shit just tell me what to do and fuck off.
>>58935622What kind of question is this? I take my time to play all my games
I just try to make sure im generally ahead of the level curve.
