fire red or leaf green?
which one has superior pokemons?
>>
>>58942943
Emerald
>>
>>58942943
LG is better. The only advantage FR has is Skarmory.

FR has cooler exclusives and LG has cuter exclusives.
>>
>>58942943
LeafGreen is the only Gen 3 game you can get Slowpoke in for some baffling reason so I guess that.
>>
>>58942943
Why is Qwilfish Remoraid’s version counterpart when it doesn’t evolve?
>>
>>58942943
LeafGreen solely because of Misdreavus and Sneasel, even though you only catch them underleveled in the postgame.
>>

> Ekans / Sandshrew

> Skarmory / Mantine
Skarmory.

> FR - 6
> LG - 6
I'll be damned I didn't expect this but it's a tie. I'd still go with LeafGreen though because I just like its exclusives more.
>>
>>58942943
Arbok > Sandslash
Arcanine < Ninetales
Vileplume > Victreebel
Golduck < Slowbro
Cloyster < Starmie
Scyther > Pinsir
Electabuzz < Magmar
Quagsire < Azumarill
Murkrow > Misdreavus
Delibird < Sneasel
Qwilfish > Octillery
Skarmory > Mantine

Equal.
>>
>>58942943
Based on the ones I still need shinies of, Leaf Green
>>
>>58942943
I think it's odd how Scizor is considered a FR exclusive when you need to trade to evolve it
>>
>>58942943
While I support any guy who gets Fire Red, I must say that I NEED Leaf Green.
Out of ALL the Gen 3 games (including the Gamecube spin offs), it's the ONLY version with a catchable Slowpoke. So, unless you don't care much, if you want to complete the dex, you need to get Leaf Green.

Leaf green is better overall but fire red has Vileplume so fire red
>>
Ekans < Sandshrew
Growlithe < Vulpix
Oddish > Bellsprout
Psyduck < Slowpoke
Shellder < Staryu
Scyther > Pinsir
Electabuzz = Magmar
Wooper > Marill
Murkrow > Misdreavus
Qwilfish < Remoraid
Delibird < Sneasel
Skarmory > Mantine

I’m buying fire red
>>
pretty even
i'd take leafgreen for pinsir myself though
>>
i'm going for that pinsir!!
>>
>>58942943
>Scyther/Scizor
>Skarmory
Not even a question
>>
>>58942943
LG by virtue of it being the only one where you could get Slowpoke. There was one other kid at school who had LG and once the others realised this and were really into dex hunting, and combine with the fact we had RSE between us which negated half of the exclusives in FRLG, we were able to get some pretty good Pokemon out of it. Remember the highlights for me being the Mt. Battle Cyndaquil and Teddiursa you can get in Gale of Darkness (he wanted two so he had Slowbro and Slowking), then traded me the purified Shadow Moltres for my shiny Slowpoke because he really, really wanted it and I knew the birds had special moves on purification. I didn’t know which ones though and boxed it for an eternity until I decided to start sending it up through the games to get every ribbon on it up to SM in 2016
>>
>>58942943
This comes to slowpoke vs skarmory, I like quaggers and cloister but Slowbro is literal perfection as a Pokemon.
>>
>>58942943
Bottom benefits much more from pre-split.
>>
In terms of actual practical mons you'd use ingame, Starmie blows everything from FireRed out of the water.
>>
>>58942943
Fire Red has Delibird.
>>
I’m planning a team of:
Charizard
Raichu
Vaporeon
Nidoking
Snorlax
Articuno

So version exclusives don’t really matter to me here

I'm 5:7 in favor of LG
My team would probably be Starmie, Lapras, Poliwrath, Omastar, Seadra/Kingdra, and Tentacruel

>>

So leafgreen then?
>>
>>58942943
It's such an easy mogging on LG's part it's not even close
>>
>>58942943
So Oddish vs Sandshrew, Vulpix, Staryu, Misdreavus, Sneasel, and Marill. The choice is obvious
>>
Pretty sure I won't be able to trade between FR (GBA) and LG (switch), even though both are capable of using 802.11b wifi. I don't have any friend :-(
>>
Blaziken, Mawile, Gardevoir

4 vs 3 in Leaf Green's favour
>>
>>58942943
I slightly prefer FR in terms of favorites, but for actual in-game runs, LG is leagues ahead:
Arbok<Sandslash
Arbok is ass, Intimidate is the only good thing about it
Arcanine<Ninetales
Faster leveling + Flamethrower at level 29 is way better. Arcanine does have Intimidate, but it is worse overall thanks to no good STAB until way later and Slow EXP.
Vileplume<Victreebel
Victreebel is basically always an upgrade over Vileplume
Golduck<Slowbro
Not even close.
Cloyster<Starmie
Cloyster is good, but if you are leveling up a Slow Exp Water-type in the lategame, Starmie is the choice - it is the best mon against the league.
Scyther < Pinsir
Pinsir has the better movepool, Scyther the better leveling curve. I lean Pinsir, but it can go either way.
Electabuzz>Magmar
Rare FR win.
Everything past this is essentially postgame.
>>
>>58942943
Slowbro in LG so it wins

the gen 2 exclusives you can't use for any meaningful content are weird inclusions on this chart

Yeah I'm thinking FireRed
>>
>>58942943
Wow, LG's lineup is shockingly bad. FR has the better exclusive in every pair except Slowpoke, Sneasel, and Octillery.
>>
If I had both games could I use my Switch 2 & OLED to trade between them
>>
So will this release have online PvP's? Can you trade with other people?
>>
>>58942960

>>

>>

LG so that Porygon costs 6500 coins instead of 9999

>tfw Arcanine and Sandslash are both two of my favourite pokemon
I hate version exclusives so much
>>
>>58945136
>>58945329
You both are making the same point. LG is better not only for those reasons but because the grand total coin expense is lower in LG.
>>
>>58945371
i wasn't disagreeing with the first post, i'd just never really looked at the casino prizes and prices that much so it was surprising to me
LG's game corner is better for sure
>>
>>58945329
I had forgotten how big the difference were.
>>
>>58945329
lol what was the point of this?
