I always pick the first version regardless it makes the decision easier Plus the second version to me always feels like B version ya know?
Probably Waves. I don't want to miss out on underwater and riding waves. I'm hoping mechanics of water and flying are in both tho
We have almost no information about the differences between them, it's way too early to decide
>>59016802It's going to be in both games, you autistic little shitbag. Stop spreading misinfo before they even run their first in-depth trailer.
>>59016830>It's going to be in both games, you autistic little shitbagsource?
>>59016830>They named the games Winds and Waves for no reason you autistic shitbag
>>59016780Where's the red one?!?
>>59016880>MC artwrok shows both versions' MC's wearing wetsuits under their casual clothes>was featured in a video detailing the new region in BOTH games>is not a mid-reveal cycle video where version exclusive content would be detailedI'd even bet money on everything they showed in-trailer being available in both games to boot. But CAN see shit like Clamperl being a version-exclusive and only found by diving in Waves (or some Flying type being ONLY available soaring in Winds). But they're not going to arbitrarily lock exploration of a whole part of their map, just because baba bought the game with the more badass dwagon on it that happened to be called Winds. That's disingenuous marketing and leads them open to being sued (best not to poke the deranged like that by "leading them on" and just having both games allow the differing mechanics).Because otherwise it begs the question why the windtards need a wetsuit, when they "won't be diving" (despite being the same goddamn people as in Waves, in the same goddamn region, where we were shown to be able to dive underwater to explore). Like I said shitbag, just stop.
>>59016780Pokémon Waves because of diving.>>59016802Basically how I feel. I hope Pokémon Waves will still have soaring if gen 10 will have soaring. If they have both soaring and diving, but make them version exclusive, that could be a bit strange.>>59016809This too. I could just as easily change my mind. I have before with previous gens.
>>59016780Both, I always do. Now, if they made a limited edition Switch 2 for each version, then I'd have a choice to make.
>>59016780Waves because the Winds outfit looks stupid. Why the fuck are they wearing cowboy hats
>>59016887>missed the dragon hintsYep, Dragon/Flying Grandpamon, Dragon/Water Grandmamon (she's even got a tail like a fish). You think they called them that, because you could either travel the winds OR waves but not both? No, they're called that due to the "Legend of the Winds/Waves".
>>59016949Is Ryback in the game?
>>59016780The one with national dex
>>59016780Probably Waves since I usually pick the second of the versions (Blue, Sapphire, Moon, Violet etc). Though I could be swayed depending on the Legendary's design.
>>59016957I dunno, I don't work for Visual Concepts, I just pay attention to pokémon reveal videos.
>>59016780Waves, I like the blue backpack amd walmart hat more.
I usually get the second version, partly out of contrarianism but mostly because I assume most people get the first version and this way the sales will be slightly more even if I get the second version.
>>59016929Why would they call them Winds and Waves if they weren't each about exploring different parts then?
>>59017011Maybe because title names since Gen 3 (except Gen 5 due to its focus on Tao concepts) refer to the box legend. Hell, X and Y refer to Xerneas'/Yvetal's silhouettes, Sun/Moon to Solgaleo/Lunala, despite neither being the embodiment of the sun/moon, Sword and Shield have pokémon with a fuck off sword and a shield-mane and Scarlet/Violet are supposed to be mock-ups of the in-universe books featuring the paradox dragon on their front cover. So yeah anon, it makes MUCH more sense the games are named due to a relation to their box legends (Teraleak scuttlebutt has seemingly associated the pair more closely) than to traversal methods. Especially when the Japanese characters used for their names separately combine to form the word "Storm".
Hey guys did you know that boats use the wind to propel themselves? They don't just ride waves like a surfer
>>59016780Winds if I ever get around to it
>>59017153Why are they called Winds and Waves though?
>>59016780Winds at the time being due to the likelihood of a Flying type legendary. If I really don’t like the look of it and the Waves legendary is something cool like a gigantic manta, I might change my pick
>>59016780I prefer the Winds hat, it makes them look more Australian>>59016929
>>59016780For now I'm leaning toward Winds for Him
Winds because I'll get another Dragon/Flying
>>59016780I'll wait until I have more info, but leaning towards Winds, if I ever get a Switch 2. Pokémon doesn't do third versions of their games anymore right? They just make DLC add one instead? Haven't played a game since X/Y, but even back then I expected a Z version. Don't know what a third version of Winds and Waves would be, Hurricane?
>>59016780Not much to go off of. Winds has the logo that evokes a cooler box legendary (the only thing that really matters), plus there's a possibility that Waves will have extra water types as version exclusives in a region that's already going to be oversaturated with water types. Also we know both from the leaks and from well, the Pikachus, that Winds is the masculine version.Legendary is all that matters though. I doubt the games are going to be much different in terms of content. I don't instantly see any "past / future" theme or whatever like with Scarlet Violet, which as a result felt a fair bit more different from each other than usual, since your choice of legendary also locked you in to only that style of pokemon for all your ultra b- err paradox pokemon as well.
>>59017201The game has a LOT of themes of nature this time, and Winds and Waves are sorta representing these sorta forces that shape it. The legendaries are apparently (conceptually) like old spiritual / moral guides who use the winds (or waves) to guide people they find worthy or whatever.
>>59016780Waves most likely
