Nothing against them I just think an unevolved Eevee is boring, Glaceon is basically a really inferior Vaporeon, and for Sylveon I'm just not too fond of anything after gen 5, including the fairy type as a whole.

A new type was definitely needed to balance things out and to an extent Fairy did do that well but it overshot a little. Fairy resisting Bug was particularly egregious because come the fuck on did BUG of all types really need to be nerfed?! Fairy should be week to Bug if anything. And Fairy should also be week to Ice because Ice REALLY needs it. And have Ice resist Fairy too because Ice only resists itself.
