https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strophurus
Gecqua is based on a specific type of gecko, the strophurus gecko. As a genus, anyway.
They shoot a foul-smelling liquid out of their tails. Some members of the family also have spines on their tails. Some like picrel also have eyelash-like spines.
Gecqua's evos are gonna be spiny, and it's gonna have another gimmick related to its tail in its evolved forms.
I have no idea why bulbapedia doesn't mention this genus but instead chooses to mention the fat-tailed gecko, the knob-tailed gecko, and the crested gecko. It's a gecko that shoots a liquid out of its tail. This is what it is. Anyway, someone go and edit that about it being a Strophurus gecko in for me, would you? I cannot imagine they'd really complain about such an obvious pull.

>the ability to squirt a harmless, foul-smelling fluid from their tails, which can create a highly flammable substance when mixed with ammonia. This fluid is used to deter birds while they are perching in shrubbery, being unusual in the family by exposing themselves during the day.

Are we finally gonna have starters that mix and match types? A water/fire starter, a fire/grass starter, and a grass/water starter.

no its not. its a fat tailed gecko

>shoots liquid out of its tail
>not based on the gecko that shoots liquid out of its tail though
it might have been inspired by both but it's silly to claim it's exclusively this one when another is far more obviously a good fit
>>
>>59027004
wrong
>>
>>59027019
Why would you even argue this? It's clearly the design inspiration lol
>>
>>59027032
No it isn't. Just because you're not able to understand simple concepts, doesn't mean I'm trying to argue. It's obvious, now drop it.
>>
>>59027036
Are you seriously trying to say that there's no way it could be based on a gecko that fits nearer to the end design because it's too complicated and that a normal, basic gecko absolutely has to be the inspiration because it's simpler?

I'm saying you need to drop it, kid. You're wrong, yes. It happens. Don't get butthurt over it.

who are you even referring to this thread is such a mess

The mong retard having an episode, though I'd hazard a guess at you being one and the same, due to not recognising the mong retard having her moment.
>>
>>59027529
Who's having an episode then? Just seems like a bunch of pedants

Stop taking the bait, OP. He's just derailing your thread.

>Grass/Fire to represent volatile anger
Some sort of dive-bombing explosive bird, an angry bird if you will
>Fire/Water to represent uninhibited joy
Not sure, maybe a gigantic heckin' pupper
>Water/Grass to represent serenity
Monk, think a cross between Medicham and Sawk aesthetically
