>do two ranked battles>get all of the Mega StonesWhy were people complaining about Mega Stones being locked behind ranked battles? On the plus side, they're fun.
First season reward trigger limits were hilariously optimistic for the fanbases' desire to try to be am vewy bestest, like few had ever been prior. They reduced the trigger point to winning 2 battles/placing high in 3 or summat from Season 2 on. I do kinda find the battles fun for what they are, but at the same point also, I have no desire to go further in them after getting the seasonal MS reward. Maybe if there were shiny rewardmons, I'd be more inclined to play further (like I'm keeping an eye on SV 7* re-run raids for the handful of 7* battles I missed over its lifespan) but in its current form and with current rewards, I'm not fucked.
>>59043299Ranked isn't fun. That's the core issue, playing against compfags to get Mega Stones long after you'll have have any use of them since you finished the story is not fun.Saying "it's fast, just a couple of fights to get them" isn't making it a good system, just putting a bandaid over a shitty one.
>>59043299I treat za like a party game, because that's basically what it is.It's an expanded version of Pokemon rumble if anything.
>>59043387I disagree ranked was fun, for like 10 or so matches. And not 10 or so matches a season 10 or so matches total. The entire game is pokemon battles and playing against a real person actually doesnt change much. I thought ZA was great. I played it to death and now honestly i dont think i want to battle anymore.
>>59043299I honestly think don’t care that they’re locked behind the online as someone who has online anyway but I can kind of understand for it people who just want to use stuff in the game without dealing with others bc Pokemon fans are their own worst enemies. These Mega Stones kept me engaged way longer than SV’s event raids
