Last two seasons I didn't even grind to A rank.It was charming for a while but the FFA system frays my nerves. Sometimes no matter what you do you end up sandwiched and the best you can hope for it taking someone down before you get rolled. Running anything that isn't designed to OHKO just felt like shooting myself in the foot when I end up staring at 2 Xerneas and a Kyogre. Even in the legendaryless seasons everyone was minmaxing.I tinkered around here and there, had fun with a lot of suboptimal pokemon and builds but most players running the same grab bag of mons got boring to deal with.

>>59046620Climbing was never a problem when you can pubstomp with just about anything.I'm saying it got boring because opponents either didn't know what they were doing and it was easy points and forgettable matches or you get into a lobby with 3 players running top meta and properly max their shit.I tried going for the 0 death badge for a while but quickly got bored. Lot of ways to cheese it but ultimately it involved just skirting fights and running away a lot.It was fun watching Milotic facetank a thunderbolt and heal it off for a few games.

Got my A rank with Xerneas Groudon Virizion and went back to shiny hunting. I only lost once to a Chad running Volcanion
