These consoles can play most pokemon games but they're also massive pieces of shit in every possible wayDo you still play on original hardware, or do you emulate them somewhere else?
>>59050980I wish my 3DS still worked. There's possibly something wrong with the upper screen's ribbon cable. When I open the lid just a little bit to see everything clearly the damn thing just turns off. Not just the screen I mean the whole system. I haven't been able to fix it yet. I have a physical Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold and eShop Yellow and Crystal. I'm not going to buy another 3DS. They're so fucking expensive. I just hope I'm able to fix my current one.
I still play on original hardware if at all possible. The hardware is part of the Pokemon experience, and my original phat DS still gets use, even today.
>>590509803DS is the ideal way to play the good pokemon games. If you don't have one with cfw to play them you're just a giga retard.
Pokedexes should've reamined looking like this
>>59050980i like using the original DS for gba & ds games and the 3ds for everything else.
>>59050980I have Gen 1-7 on my 3DS XL but I don't like how heavy it is. I can't play it lying on my bed like I can with the GBA SP without feeling the top screen swinging back and forth. It's uncomfortable to play with in general so I stuck to using emulators on my PC in the end.
>>59051089>I don't like how heavy it isHoly fucking onions
>>59050980>New 3DS XL>Massive piece of shitNo way fag.The N3DSXL is way better than the Switch when it comes to playing as a portable. Battery lasts longer, screen gets brighter, etc etc.
>>59050980The doorstop 2DS is hilarious to use. I had a 3DS and a New 3DS XL back when the consoles were new, but a few years ago when it was clear that the prices were going to moon on them, I bought a DS Lite, a DSi, a door-stop 2DS, and a second New 3DS XL to round out the collection and if I’m not playing a game that really needs the New 3DS hardware upgrades to run well, and I’m not doing something where I’ll want to be able to close my screen and stick the console in my pocket, it’s actually my favorite version to use. It’s light without feeling flimsy and most games don’t really benefit from the 3D hardware it’s missing. It’s the one I prefer for playing while at my desk or in bed.
>Extremely low res>Shit screens>Shit ergonomics>Shit battery lifeI play on my steam deck and move the saves to my n3ds xl whenever I wanna use pokebank or pksm
I mostly play gen 3 to 5, and I hate the 3ds because>DS games look like shit>Stick where the dpad should beBut the dsi doesn't have pksmThere's no winning
>>59050980I use an Analogue Pocket for gens 1-3 and a 3DS for 4-7
