>>59058519Actually, the credits for Pokopia show GameFreak had a very significant hand in the game's creation, Omega Force was basically JUST brought on for the engine, gameplay and mechanics.The worldbuilding, narrative, script and premise are all GameFreak. That's also why they were shilling the fuck out of Pokopia despite it being a spinoff, because it's a GameFreak Pokemon title, the same way they shilled Pokemon Quest like crazy until it got co-opted by China for their own exclusive (and now dead) China version.

Game freak’s writing got a bit better in Gen 9, and I suppose the premise of Pokopia is different enough that it avoids the things game freak’s tends to be weak at. Or it could be whoever shits up the main series isn’t part this. Well then, good job to which ever game freak staff worked on this.
>>59058574Gamefreak's writing has been pretty good for gen 9. There's a lot of characterization that goes into the SV cast; Kieran's probably the best rival we've had in generations. They had a problem with too many systems overloading, graphic fidelity and model loading, and a lot of tell-don't-show, but the writing is still pretty good.
