But Raichu is mostly orange.
I don't know the lore on evolutionary stones, but I heard they basically mutate the pokemon, so is Raichu just a deformed Pikachu?
>>59063647>brown Raichu is orange

>>59063672Huh, never really thought about it, i think its implied that eevee evolves dependant on its enviorment and the evolution stones are like a shortcut to that effect. And i think there are anime instances of a pokemon evolving without a stone. So if experiance and leveling up simulates a pokemon evolving in order to deal with external stress. Stones sort of work like a concentrate in order to shock the system into acclimating when the enviorment is normal. At least that fits for me. I dont think there is any official lore on where stones come from.
no my favorite pokemon is a dinosaur
>>59063647>Is your favorite pokemon literally (You)?Yeah
>>59063926>>59063672Stone evolutions exist in the wild, in (recent) games and in lore. Many if not most Pokémon that evolve with stones may naturally evolve either by age or exposure to a certain environment (like how Onix become Steelix after burrowing for decades, but needs a metal coat to evolve in game). The evo stones could be a shortcut that emits energy that similar to the environment that triggers the evolution. The recent change of some environmental based evolutions to stone-base even supports this
