>>59596106I feel like just being able to talk with the trainer instead of fumbling around with the shitty pokegear fixes the grinding issues in general, forgot the name of it but there was a crystal hack I played that let you rematch gym leaders after beating them (at least falkner through pryce as its a work in progress) and also had plenty of optional areas with plenty of trainers to fight, especially in kanto which had its trainer levels buffed to like high 50s. Makes getting levels for red so much simpler.
