Yeha we all know about DOS Mega Man and Mega Man 3But there is a lost media Street Fighter 2010 for DOS and it's nowhere to be found but I'm 101% sure I played it.
BLUUUOOOOOOARGH BLUUUUUUUGH BLLLLLLLLLEARGH BLUUUOOOOOOARGH BLAAAAARGH BLUB BLUB
>>10866673Was it shareware
>>10866673>DURRR LOST MEDIAFuck off
>>10866673no, you played this
>>10866673I had that game, but I didn't know that it's lost media. All of my DOS games are in a box at my parents house. If you'd like, I could grab it next time I'm over there.
>>10866846No, pretty sure I played SF2010, the side-scroller game, on DOS>>10866847Please do, it's nowhere to be found online and I'm sure I played it>>10866770I got it bundled along with MM1 and 3 for DOS as a bonus with the DOS port of SF II: the world warrior
>>10866864are you sure it was not emulated?like with a dos nes emulator nesticle or something?
>>10866864according to moby there was a bundle with sf1 and sf2https://www.mobygames.com/game/3880/street-fighter-series/
>>10867059Pretty sure it was an original DOS game. It looked and played badly like the Mega Man DOS games. I remember thinking it was weird that this game called "street fighter 2010" was a platformer and not a fighting game, and that the character I was playing as wasn't anyone from Street Fighter. I only learned it was a real Capcom game on NES in the 2000s thanks to AVGN.Also, according to google, the first NES emulator was released in 1996, this was in 1994.>>10867076Yeah but no mention of SF2010, only MM 1 and 3. My package was SF II the world warrior, no SF1, and as bonus there was MM1, MM3 and SF2010, for DOS.It's been years and I still haven't found evidence it existed, yet I'm 100% sure I played it back then. I feel like I got mandela'd.
Maybe it was "Street Fighter 2010: Final Fight"?
>>10867284Yes, but not the NES original, this was a DOS version
Also your uncle works at Nintendo and this is why you had a PS3. In 1999.
>>10867379Not even joking. I also made threads about it in the past, you can find them on the archive if you search for street fighter 2010 DOS.I'm serious, I played this game, there was a DOS port likely made by the same people who did Mega Man 1 and 3 DOS.
>>10867470you could email the devs of mm1 dos and ask them about 2010. a lot of old devs are just sitting around chilling, not heads of companies warding off 1000s of emails
>>10867242Probably a bootleg, there is no record of such a thing existing. Trust me, I am from the internet.
>>10866673Maybe it's out there, who knows? I can tell you I fought tooth and nails over a version of Donkey Kong Country for PC existing for years. Had it one of these "100 games+" type of bootleg CDs in the early nineties and I knew what I played and my memory isn't THAT shit. Years later I figured it out - early SNES emulator with an SFC dump configured to boot straight into the game. So either your port exists or this is what it is - an emulator preconfigured to run one game
>>10867717After some digging, since I was curious (checking out the Web Archive and digging through a few long dead "abandonware" sites) - I don't think it exists anon. You probably emulated it without even realising.
>>10866673You didn’t play shit and your dad doesn’t love you.
>>10867470You probably played Bionic Commando which apparently had an ms dos port. It's more platformy then the nes version.
>>10867494Yeah this is what I think I'll do.>>10867698>>10867717>>10867729>>10867812>>10867843Pretty sure it wasn't emulation, as this was in either 1994 or 1995 on a 486 PC, and I remember it being on DOS, and it was about the same style as the Mega Man DOS games, it did not look or play as good as the NES SF2010. And no it was not Bionic Commando or any other game, I remember clearly thinking how strange it was that the game was called "street fighter 2010". I'm thinking it was probably some late edition of SF II TWW as this was as I said in late 94 or early 95 and Super SF2 was about to be released so maybe this was a late edition of the gme which included SF2010 and, as it happens, not many people bought nor documented it. It is very strange though.
>>10867925Stop writing shit that nobody is going to read.
>>10867963?
>>10867925unless you find the box or anyone in your family remembers we will never know
>>10868549I only have the manual left, but the manual is just for SF II, doesn't mention the MM games nor SF2010, yet I clearly remember them being included as extras.
>>10866864I have the original sf2 boxed dos version and it didn't get bundled with anything
>>10870406Yeah apparently there were different pressings. Some came alone, like yours, others came with SF1, MM1 and MM3, others just with MM1 ans MM3, those are documented online. The one I had was SFII + MM1 and MM3 + SF2010, but this one seems completely unknown and undocumented.
