What CRPGs are we excited for this year? MENACE? Mystic Land? Thaumaturge? SKALD? Monomyth? New Arc Line? ...Something else?
There's too many games to play to pay attention to games that aren't out.
>>3406870I've already played them all.
>unrelated anime girl OP>CRPG trannyTale as old as timeYou think you're cool because you play neckbeard games and post anime but oh, yeah I don't do JRPGs? I bet you do. We should have wiped your kind out in the 2010s

>>3406881This is a manga website now. Anime died.
>>3406860Mostly New Arc Line, but SKALD does look cool. Swordhaven too, but I don't think that'll be this year.
>>3406885On top of Asahi-Dake in Hokkaido during the dead of winter.
>>3406885Right here and now. There's a reason that WRPG > JRPG false discourse died off, its because your entire pathetic race roped. I'll take you out and finally save JRPG fans from animeposters who post about warpigs. No one else will be corrupted even if it costs me my life.
>>3406860Bloodlines 2. I don't expect it to be good, but I am very much looking forward to getting it over with.

>>3406892I'll be there, punk.
>>3406897Boy I sure hope you're not going to actually pay for that.

Going to skip.
>>3412744But slavjank is epic and redpilled bro

>>3416728>a soulslikeInto the trash
>>3416735Not a fan of pathfinder 2e but this game has a supposedly robust module editor so going to give it a look. I will always support more accurate tabletop systems in CRPGs.
>>3416744>>3416768I played the first game the dev made, which was a glorified tech demo of this, and it was actually quite promising. Firing the game up now.
>>3416782Okay, update. I really like this game. There are 22 encounters in total, with 4 difficulties to choose from. I am playing on Hard, which is enough to have to pay a reasonable amount of attention, (the first boss encounter is no joke) enemies will happily run up and one shot your caster, but I think I will give it another play on Insane with custom characters after. I was worried this would be phoned in like Low Magic Age, but its not. The AI isn't completely braindead. You have to properly utilize debuffs and positioning to hit things, and the geometry of the fields of battle and the enemies within is designed with care. Between each battle you have a short or long rest and distribute loot from the previous encounter. The campaign is fully voiced, the writing is hammy and I like it. I really, really like this. This game is a huge win. Please play this.
>>3416820One last thing I'd like to add. If you like KotC2, but want something that feels like it wasn't designed by a crazy and malicious DM, this is roughly in that ballpark.
>>3416735>>3416820How did codex miss this?
>>3406879>Frogtranny talking about unrelated images>We should have wiped your kind out in the 2010sYou should wipe yourself out or just fuck off to where you came from
>>3416824Its not chud approved, sorry bro.
The stuff this game is capable of is really intriguing. For example, in this encounter the party is trapped in a room with magical pillars that slowly heat it up like an oven and do damage. There are 4 locks on the main door and the party must find the corresponding keys to escape by using the Seek function. This allows them to distinguish mimics from chests and find hidden passages. To open a chest or use a key a character must stow their weapon, so the action economy is really interesting here. It is continuing to impress me.
It's gunna be a good year for CRPGs.
>>3416735I'm playing it now and it's actually hilarious that this is way more fun than Kingmaker or WotR. Despite being gimped 2e it's actually more tacticool than those games. I wonder if paizo will give this some spotlight. This is great.
About 2/3s of the way through the game. These fights are pretty slick, each one is something new so far. Scrolls are very useful as well. Also, fucking hilarious that the leader of this town full of anime characters is Ragnar Lodbrok for some reason.
>>3416735Its sort of crazy there aren't more games like this when you look at how big this sort of thing is for wargames.
Release date for Dream Tactics, a " GBA-styled strategy RPG" developed in Canada, has been announced for April 15, 2024.https://youtu.be/ybh6OCQyqJo?si=GjjRzgpayXVbKuHo
>>3416735This game is fucking sick.
Still going. The Seek mechanics introduced earlier are then used to spot later enemies which hide or use invisibility. Eventually the party finds themselves at the bottom of the ocean with a water breathing spell, which takes on the special properties of aquatic combat (flat-footed, difficult terrain, penalty to swinging attacks, fire spells don't work) and you can use movement elixers to help mitigate these effects a bit. A lot of attention to detail, its neat.
>>3417179Almost forgot, PF2e is pretty damn easy to understand for anyone that's curious, and this game feels like a nice little interactive tutorial for the ruleset if you are unfamiliar with it.
Finished the main campaign, it was great fun. Also, tried out the extreme++ difficulty great serpent bonus scenario with a custom strategist, which was pretty tricky. I would kill for like a 100 hour campaign of what this game is, its like EXACTLY what I want from a CRPG, in the combat department anyways. A shame its so short.
>>3416735What engine did this man use? I could do with something like this, its Very Fun
>>3417348>What engine did this man useIt appears to be made mostly from scratch. I also appreciated that the dev proudly stated they used no AI assistance whatsoever in the credits.
Okay, so far this year we have the best pathfinder game ever made and it's only March.

Not really news, but Vogel, an outspoken developer responsible for geneforge that I find fascinating, is dissecting bg3.https://bottomfeeder.substack.com/p/picking-apart-baldurs-gate-3-partInteresting stuff here imo
>>3427801A decent read, thanks for posting. Nothing *that* cool in there though. Didn't know he was such a meme aficionado. This was perhaps the most interesting part:>Yes, BG3 has like a million words in it and tons and tons of voice acting, but which ones you see depends on the choices you make. However, you won't encounter that many words in one playthrough.>This game conveys a lot of storytelling in a very efficient way, without excess verbiage. This is not easy! Telling a story with a ton of words? That's easy. Editing it down so that it's very dense and tight and respects your time but still has the full effect? That takes a lot of work.I have a slightly different view: you don't necessarily have to cater to half-illiterates affected by adhd, but usually the more writing for the player to read you have the better its quality should be. For example both PoEs suffer from excess verbiage (pun intended) that is not justified by its quality. But I did not mind as much reading the walls of text that were pst or DE.

>>3427801>easily one of the best computer RPGs ever madeStopped reading there
>>3428243The master has spoken, chud.
>>3427814>but usually the more writing for the player to read you have the better its quality should be.This. A game with shit writing but that’s trying to tell a detailed narrative and is riding on the backs of unlikeable characters is a lot more obnoxious than a game with mediocre writing and shallow characters that just gets out of the way and doesn’t try to carry the game with them.
>>3427801The big take away here, which I think some people on this board could do to acknowledge, is the examples given of how BG has breathed new life into the genre thrice now, and in turn enabled developers such as Vogel to thrive.
>>3427801>>3428243I sometimes feel like I'm living in a clown world with the amount of praise I see BG3 get. I just felt like it was very above average. Flashy and high production values sure, but the substance just felt lacking and the writing and characters were grating, which is now good for a party-driven RPG. I want to call it an RPG for people who are not fans of RPG's, but then people like Vogel heap praise upon it and I realise my tastes are so niche I'll never be the target audience for anything anymore.
>>3427801A washed out developer with one claim to fame throughout his whole career trying to be hip and cool and trendy with zoomers as an ad for his new game which is in fact his aforementioned one and only successful game sold a second time.>Honestly, Baldur's Gate 3 doesn't do anything truly new. It's a game where quantity has a quality all its own. This game does what has been done before at an unprecedented scale, level of detail, quality, fun, and just plain style. It's good, it's BIG, and the quality continues the whole way through.Verifiably untrue. Act III is nigh unplayable from technical standpoint, Act II has countably less exploration than I.>One of the things that makes BG3 work is it has a really good story, and it tells it well. Can't wait to see him try to back up this ridiculous claim.>First, it has a great hook. You start with mind-control worms in your head that give you powers but will kill you soon. Instantly compelling and full of urgency and mystery, in the first few minutes of the game.>Second, the pacing is good, which is key in a lore-heavy game like this. In Act 1, it dumps you into a very simple world with very simple factions and forces you to make high-stakes decisions about them. The urgency in first line fights against you wanting to get involved with stuff in second line. You either try to skip most of the game, as some retards online admitted to do, or, more likely, you forget about the apparent "urgency" in fighting a cure, and thus the the first crack in player's immersion appears.>Fourth, once you're past the intro, you learn of the existence of the Head Bad Guy. No, you fucking don't. At that point you're not sure the Absolute exists (and it technically doesn't), and think the BBEG is the cult leader, which the writers want to be a red herring. So he could've rightly praised the writing here, but didn't know to.
>>3428327 cont.>Third, the characters immediately start trying to have sex with you. Very attention-grabbing.>Fifth, your companions are interesting people, funny, flawed, and charming in equal measure. You can tell he struggled to say anything good about the companions, beyond the most bland generalities.>More importantly, they immediately start making demands of you.Gale does. Technically Lae'zel does too but if you try to acquiesce her, you first go through brutal for level 2 characters encounters to be greeted by an immersion-brekaing prompt that the next area is for high-level chars, so you turn back with her bitching away.>Like, you need their help, but they immediately make it clear they won't fight for free. Another example of giving interesting choices early only. No, they don't. Not even Gale. He takes his time until he starts asking for items.>What really impresses me about this is that while BG3's story is really involving, you never actually see that many words.>However, let's be honest ... In 2024, a game with a ton of reading can do well, but it won't be a megahit.Who gives a shit. If you want to make a megahit go make an addicting mobile game for boomers.>muh actorsYes, they help make up for lack of any good story or characterization for the average glue sniffer. This isn't storytelling.>muh unionsPandering to caviar socialist zoomers.>That's the storytelling aspect of it.To sum up, he barely started saying anything about storytelling, most of it false or generalities and then he finished.

>>3430692I am very excited for this one.
>>3430740Me too, it looks incredible, but I try to just post the news as is.
>>3428402They already started both, but couldn't make it profitable, hence they switched to new ips.
>>3430735Its the Dark Souls 2 of souls clones.
>>3428286>>3428243Delusional/dishonest.
>>3406886Based if true.
>>3430780Ds2 had at least few great bosses.Aldia and his brother were great npcs, the winter dlc had a good story, too.
>>3429899Cringe, also graphics look too good to be true>>3429901Terrible but that body switching from physical to something else is quite an interesting mechanic, it might have potential if they make one hit guaranteed death and the only to avoid it is to dodge or become temporary non physical>>3430692Saw this already, below average.
is this thread trying to depress people about how bad this year will be for rpgs? it's just a year, downturns happen.
>>3431596>below average.compared to what, there is nothing like this
>>3431599If he wanted to depress people he'd be posting JRPG news. (surprise: its all gacha shit and movie games)
>>3431606I am new to jrpgs, what's a gacha (shit) ?
>>3431610its a digital pachinko machine where you pay real money for jpgs of naked cartoons
>>3431606this implies that those who still play jrpgs are people
>>3431615>its a digital pachinko machine where you pay real money for jpgs of naked cartoonsI understand the words but I am not really getting what you're saying
>>3431661Gacha derives from gachapon, which is the nippon word for those little prize-in-a-ball machines that used to be everywhere.Gacha games are free to play live service mmo whatevers, where instead of a normal cash shop you pay for spins on the gambling machine which spits out random playable characters, gear and upgrade materials.
>>3431599What the hell is even depressing here? OP asked for upcoming games and got them, some good some bad.
>>3428429Damn, Vogel is based.
>>3431694lol
>>3428375>no expansions>official mod tools will be barebones>Larian wants to completely wash their hands of D&D and Wizards of the CoastSucks that they don't really wanna release extensive mod tools, or at least give us an Icewind Dale 3. Can their next project be reviving Divinity: Fallen Heroes?
>>3430744>couldn't make it profitablehow so
>>3431717He's just making shit up.
>>3428375I'm glad they are doing their own thing for the next game, but I'm really surprised that they aren't making an expansion for BG3.I didn't really want one, but it feel like standard practice nowadays, I was just expecting to see one be announced one day.
>>3431712>Can their next project be reviving Divinity: Fallen Heroes?I feel like they might be burnt out on Divinity.besides BG3 Divinity games are the only games they have worked on since 1997.There aren't even cancelled non-Divinity games.
>>3431732>besides BG3 Divinity gamesBesides BG3, Divinity gamesI reread it, and it really needs that comma.

Official gameplay trailer for Legends of the Round Table, an Arthurian RPG.https://youtu.be/fMX697WEDHU?si=nikFo-tk1dV03bY_
>>3431737Vincke's Twitter profile location says "Edge of Space". Additionally:>Vincke says the next game won't be Divinity: Original Sin 3, and that it will be "different than what you think it is" but that it's "still familiar." Elsewhere, Vincke said that the new project will "dwarf" the scope of Baldur's Gate 3, which would be quite impressive given the scope of that game.https://www.ign.com/articles/larian-started-work-on-baldurs-gate-3-dlc-then-canceled-it-the-studio-was-elatedSo no definitive answers, but familiar implies another Divinity Engine turn based RPG, with a new IP, or at least a new chapter in the Divinity series.
>>3432057>Vincke said that the new project will "dwarf" the scope of Baldur's Gate 3If that turns out to be true, it might actually be the biggest game ever.
>>3432057I'd prefer they make a smaller game. Bigger is not better.
>>3432560Your mom disagrees.
>>3432567So?
>>3432572I was merely informing you.
>>3432584My mom likes Fallout 4, I really don't give a shit what she thinks about RPGs.
>>3432588>My mom likes Fallout 4You are completely correct to ignore her opinion on RPGs.
>>3432057Isn't it all but confirmed it's gonna be scifi/fantasy-scifi
>>3432560If they keep knocking bigger games out of the park I prefer they continue to btfo all these shitty AAA companies like bethesda and capcom.
>>3432664It'd be nice to play a game in less than 10 years.
>>3432668You can play all the cool games posted in this thread. :)
>>3432669Wee...
>>3432671If you ain't playin legends of the round you can get the FUCK out
>>3432675We'll see about it if I'm alive when it comes out.
>>3422743how do you know he saved it on his pc
>>3416931Ya sadly 1e just ain't particularly tactical and the way Owlcat adapted the ruleset really only catches the char building autism part of the system's appeal and nothing else. Rogue Trader did show they can make a fun skirmish-y tactical game though, which just makes me mad that DnD 4e's OGL forever fucked it out of having a CRPG adaptation despite being being the system best suited for it.
>>3433196>Rogue Trader did show they can make a fun skirmish-y tactical game thoughBut the encounter design in that game was awful.
>>3433197Their encounter design was always shit, but the system's adaptation itself is fun.
>>3433203The system is worse than the table top version, which was already bad, and they house ruled it to have more numbers go up and buff stacking retardation. Owlcat cannot design combat. Their games are the polar opposite of a combat fag game. They have more in common with bad jrpgs than tactical crpgs.
>>3433210>more numbers go up and buff stacking retardationThey know their market.
>>3433223Retarded slavs?
>>3433228Retards who believe they're smart, yes. You don't reed to restrict your market to east Europe. 3e D&D was designed for that kind of people and they'll adapt any other system to work in a similar way (obvious trap options and tedious stacking).
>>3433230You're conflating PF1e with 3e, which are not the same animal.
>>3433234I'm just paraphrasing Monte Cook, you know, the 3e D&D designer. WotC wanted a game like that to sell supplements with the good (prestige) classes and feats to dumb minmaxers. You can google "ivory tower design" if you want to read more about it.
>>3433239Ivory tower design is just making a system of situational tools and letting players figure out their applications on their own. The article in question is frequently misquoted and if you actually read it you'll see they designed the game not with trap choices, but instead made sure each feat has specific applications which are not always spelled out, and the author muses that it might have been better if he had held the player's hand more. Owlcat games do NOT work like this, and generally are set up so you have a checklist of insanely good feats there's no chance you can miss padded out with many bad optional feats to fill in the gaps where you're actual choices will be loaded into picking the least bad option.
>>3433239Laugh at this midwit who believed Monte Cuck's after-the-fact excuses for the failures of WotC. It thinks it's intelligent.

>>3433259why don't you just link the steam page? i hate these retarded trailers.
>>3433260>direct actionJust send someone to block it, duh.
>>3433259lol
>>3433261I don't like endorsing storefronts. Something I have noticed on OTHER sites is that third worlders will use GOG's affiliate system to earn money by dishonestly presenting games and trying to entice people to use the links, so rather than choose one store over the other I will pick neither unless there's something exclusive like a closed beta.
>>3433274people are immediately going to google the name anyway and check it on steam. who wants to watch a poorly made trailer by some retarded developer and shit up their youtube recommendations with other shovelware trailers? you could also just list more than one, do whatever though, newsbot.
>>3433280>shit up their youtube recommendationsThis genuinely made me lol
>>3433285ah, that gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling. making a sperg laugh is an accomplishment to be proud of.

This thread reminds me of looking at the RPG Codex years ago and they had that one dude constantly posting about any little game or DLC that might be coming out despite hardly anyone showing interest in any of it.
>>3434344>This thread reminds me of looking at the RPG Codex years agoGood.
>>3406860This thread is starting to make shitposters butthurt. Guess no one can say RPGs are dead or there's nothing to play now.
>>3434352No one ever says that anymore. Steam changed everything, now there are more RPGs than you would ever want to play, just most of them are garbage.
>>3434353How would you know if you don't play anything
>>3434355I think you hacked the wrong webcam, avatarfag.
>>3434344I know long term planning is something outside of the typical shitskin's realm of understanding, but endeavors such as these generally yield great fruits over the long term.
>>3434344>This thread reminds me of looking at the RPG Codex years ago and they had that one dude constantly posting about any little game or DLCYou mean the only reason Codex ever got popular in the first place?
>>3434358So it's a containment thread for tards who can't go on Steam and use their features to find new and upcoming games for themselves? Carry on.
>>3434362Nah, this was right before they started going to shit, it was the dude who had a Melnorme avatar.
>>3434364Codex was always shit, the appeal it used to hold was that it was a place to get information on niche games. No one is going there to read retarded slavs crying about politics.

Outward 2 preview with IGN.https://youtu.be/Jb_Ov2nXtKU?si=ko3Jj9IKeB5d_VKz
>>3435831No, the main character sounds extremely lame and generic, literal npc tier questions and responses. People in countryside do not speak like that, see related webm(with sound), I imagine people during middle ages had even more colorful language and expressions.https://i.4cdn.org/wsg/1711588793884742.webm

>>3444818This just looks cluttered to me, with too much happening. That's a real problem some people have with visual design, the tend to want to over detail things.
>>3444824Its just not visually distinct imo. But we'll have to see with the release. A lot of people are pumping an insane amount of hype into this for whatever reason, whether or not this is deserved or not is yet to be seen. Graphics are generally the least of my concerns.
>>3444833Graphics are important for readability in an RPG. Not enough contrast to pull the eye to things you should focus on and too many background details and busy animations. Won't stop me from giving it a go though.

How are those remastered Geneforge games actually?
>>3444917More content and harder difficulties are more fun to play, so if you have not played the series start with mutagen.
>>3444824The graphics have gone through some changes and there are people who haven't liked those changes. However it is my understanding there are togglable graphics options so lets hope one can customize it to their liking.I really liked the look of the earlier demo I played so if I can get it to look like that I'll be happy.
>>3444180This game might actually turn out good and I have had zero expectations for it.
>>3444818I was hoping this would have First person Dungeon crawling in It, but I guess It wont. Will this be story driven like bg3? I got this impression, but Im ill informed about this game.
>>3445115Its like Ultima.
>>3445075Toggles are good, but they should be trying to appeal to people with their visual design, not drive them away in the name of "retro".
>>3444180>clearly meant to be a spiritual successor to Arcanum>the voice acting is kinda bad>the animation is kinda bad>hiding almost all faces so they don't have to be animated is not a good signHowever, I am intrigued and will keep an eye on it.It will be undefendable garbage if they don't allow racism (specism?) in the setting and allow the player character to partake in it.There is no point in using this kind of setting with this kind of story and trying to keep it squeaky clean of wrong-think.
>>3445695>It will be undefendable garbage if they don't allow racismWhen has this ever happened
>>3445702>When has this ever happenedAre you implying that there aren't game that have washed historical settings of racism for the sake of being woke?I hope not, that would make you a retard.
>>3445707>Are you implying that there aren't game that have washed historical settings of racism for the sake of being woke?>can I have an example?>HOW DARE YOUhttps://youtu.be/j_9rvJK7U10
>>3445712
>>3445719Just give me one example of when this has happened in an rpg.
>>3445720For an example of what I am talking about that you have probably played, Skyrim.Yes, there is racism in the setting but it doesn't interact with the player in any meaningful way beyond some generic dialog that doesn't affect the story/quests/gameplay in any way.For example playing as a Kajit or Argonian doesn't change anything about the game besides aforementioned flavor text despite those races being heavily discriminated against in the setting. The racism is just set dressing and not something you actually experience as part of the game and participate in like in Arcanum.I didn't mean to imply that it wouldn't exist at all, you can see from the trailer that it is there at least as a part of the setting.I realize that I didn't make my point clear before, my bad. Also if want an actual "historical" rpg that fits my description: Expeditions: Rome.
>>3445757>For an example of what I am talking about that you have probably played, Skyrim.I have never played Skyrim and don't consider it an RPG.
>>3445760>mad he didn't win a non-argumentI sincerely hope you are a child, an adult acting this way is beyond pathetic.
>>3445764Huh? I'm not arguing. I'm just being honest. If Skyrim is like Oblivion then the reason it doesn't have those features is because the game is simply dumbed down, not due to a removal of those features in particular. Arcanum is also extremely dumbed down and many of its features are greatly overexaggerated by 12 years old who watch sseths and drog, with many race-based dialogue responses being purely flavor as you have previously described.
>>3445768>Arcanum is also extremely dumbed down and many of its features are greatly overexaggerated by 12 years old who watch sseths and drog, with many race-based dialogue responses being purely flavor as you have previously described. You either haven't played it, or you are lying. There are quests that are restricted from certain races and quests that cannot be completed by certain races in the ways other races can. It is relatively minor, but it is there.>Skyrim is like Oblivion then the reason it doesn't have those features is because the game is simply dumbed down, not due to a removal of those features in particularThat's beside the point. I only chose Skyrim as an example because most people are familiar with it. I suppose that I should have worded my concern as: It will be undefendable garbage if they don't allow racism (specism?) in the setting beyond set-dressing and allow the player character to interact with it.The point being, they are a new developer and I am afraid that they might ruin their setting by being afraid to make "touchy-subjects" something that actually interacts with the player.also, who tf is drog?
>>3445791>New Arc Line Gameplay features>Create your own character as a Human, Elf, Dwarf, or Giant. Choose their gender, appearance, and background. >>3445115>I was hoping this would have First person Dungeon crawling in It,Why isn't this more popular for people who make Ultima clones? It is harder to do or something? The dungeon crawling in U5 is sick but games like Nox Archaist make dungeon exploration exactly like the overworld and that is doo doo.
>>3447138Because it was removed in ultima games after 5 and its makes more sense that the exploration is internally consistent.
>>3447149Nah, FP dungeon crawling with tactical combat is superior.
>>3447158Im not so sure, even dungeon puzzles were loaded into combat. The Ultima games are very experimental, the aren't some ancient manual for the perfect game.
>>3447158Yes.>>3447149I disagree completely. The way U5 works is perfect. Overworld, underworld, multiple dungeon levels in first person with select puzzle type rooms was sick.>>3447163>The Ultima games are very experimental, the aren't some ancient manual for the perfect game.I disagree. U5 is, in fact, perfect.

https://www.eurogamer.net/baldurs-gate-3-developers-next-game-likely-early-access-launch-tooLarian says early access is the only way to make games now.
>>3448070>the only way for game developers to remain profitable is to fire their QA staff and let their customers pay to beta test their product, while also taking millions of (((ESG fiat dollars))) to fill their games to the brim with garbage that their customers don't wantOh no no no socialist sisters did we get too cocky
>>3448110Yeah God forbid someone gives customers what they want
>>3448118I really liked the BG3 early access, too. Shelved it for three years and then played the full release version and felt like I got bait and switched with a different game. They shan't be fooling me again.
>>3448121Most people who played the EA didn't want to play DOS3, which is what it played like. Thank God Larian listened, which is why this game sold 10x as much as DOS2.
>>3448125This makes no sense. Not nearly as many people played DOS2, so they had no frame of reference to dislike it. BG3 sold 10x more because of production values.
>>3448163Why would you need to play DOS2 to be adverse to DOS2 mechanics? The mechanics were present in the EA and most people did not like them. Because they are bad. It's pretty simple logic. Check yourself, bro.
>>3448171The people who didn't play BG3 EA or DOS2 didn't like the mechanics that they didn't know about and then heard those mechanics were changed without knowing what that means and then bought the game? It wasn't just that everyone was buying the game because it looked cool and people were streaming it?
>>3448206>The people who didn't play BG3 EA or DOS2 didn't like the mechanics that they didn't know about and then heard those mechanics were changed without knowing what that means and then bought the gameYou're creating imaginary scenarios in your head. This is woman behavior.
>>3448211>You're creating imaginary scenarios in your head. Bruh this is your MO. Your posts are like 90% projection.
>>3448211What? I'm trying to understand your thought process here, it really makes no sense to me.
>>3448216BG3's huge launch numbers were due to listening to people in EA, which spiraled into its wild success. Even the company is saying this. Not sure what's confusing you here.
>>3448221Of course they want to praise EA, it kept them alive with cash and is great for marketing. I just don't know how feedback about the combat system would cause people to buy a game when they wouldn't understand the difference in the first place. It is far more likely they bought the game because it looked good.
>>3448223You are ignoring my post and just making things up in your head again. I will give you one more chance.

>>3452285For anyone curious, this makes BG3 the first game in all of history to win all 5 major video game rewards. This has literally never happened before.
>>3452365The VGA haven't been around too long so it's not that big a deal.
>>3452748It's been exactly a decade and it will be probably be another decade before this happens again, it's pretty crazy imo. BG3 is the most universally beloved game ever made by an objective qualitative measurement right now.
>>3452365>BG3 the first game in all of history to win all 5 major video game rewardsPlease don't hold it against it or spread this around, it was actually a decent RPG and you don't want to tarnish it with the names of those other games who won those awards.
>>3452753>the names of those other games who won those awards. No other game won all those awards. Ever. That's the point.
>>3452762Most of the games that won those awards aren't that good. The judges of them and their standards are shit, especially for RPGs. Only retards care about video game awards.
>>3452765>Most of the games that won those awards aren't that goodBut no other game won all those rewards. /v/ also voted it goty. So it seems every channel that matters agrees that BG3 is great.
