We focused too much on peepee.exe being like the weird route and overlooked the serious ending where you can make a choice that matters in a world where everyone turns out to be a puppet at the last second by losing to the bad guy.I don't think Deltarune is going to end exactly like this (this was made before the fever dream ending after all) but I think it's safe to assume the dream ending itself had some of the same concepts he was interested in and tried to execute via peepee.exe and the Halloween Hack. There are already quite a few elements carried over from the hack and this game, some more serious than others, I have no doubt that Deltarune is also an opportunity to do some of these ideas justice outside of a romhack or rpgmaker game.
