Been delving into a different RPG series lately due to not really having a lot of UT/DR content to play anymore, this one series I'm hooked on in particular has some super neat ideas I can tell Toby took a little bit from but never really implemented in a meaningful way and I think people including him could delve into it a little more.

>>4124859Undertale Yellow kind of had this. Whenever Martlet and Ceroba accompanied you, they'd apply some unique buff to your soul that'd make combat easier in some way. In both cases it was basically just being able to tank an extra hit, but I think adding more mechanics to the SOUL, no matter how small, would be a great way to fix how the bullet patterns get kind of stale when you've already mastered them.

deltarune will be the kind of game that's hard carried by its modding community and fan content, sorta like how people only care about fallout or skyrim's mods and even make fangames for the former while seeing their og base games as mid tier garbage that had potential but then lost it, ultimately talking more about what ifs and fanmade shit than the real thing, this is why twitter crazies are obsessed with putting down fan works and AUs and caring about "muh accuracy", they can see that this is gonna be the game's ultimate fate so they try in vain to make it not happen by discouraging the fans from making "inaccurate" fan content so that the only thing theyll have once it's all done is the game itself, but it is too late to be stopped, this game is gonna have a boom in modding and au stuff once the wave of people waiting for the full thing to release before buying deltarune enter the fandom, be assured, we won, and we will keep winning, even if the final game turns out to be garbage, we will still get cool fanmade stuff, so buckle in folks, and reap the fruits of success! we've already reached the freedom that jevil spoke so highly of.
