I think vtubers are cute and all, but I don't really like watching streamers. Like, I'd watch someone talking about whatever, but whenever I tried to watch a streamer or vtuber who was streaming herself playing a game or something, I was just bored.

Is liking normal streamers a requirement to be able to like vtubers? I really wanna know what the big deal is. picrel is from the first page of google (because for some reason posts require an image).

If you don't like watching streamers at all, watching vtubers isn't going to change that. At it's core it's literally the same since you're just watching someone else do something.

why force it? if you watch a few clips and it doesn't do anything for you then there's no need. if something does hook, you probably want to keep up with their twitter for fanart and shitposts.
livestream content isn't everything and most fans don't actually watch every hour.

Not necessarily but liking long form live content is requirement because, for the most part, most of their content is delivered through live streams.

I suggest starting with clips of Filian and the Phase Connect girls. If you want to watch a livestream, you may have to make time but you can watch the VODs of them anytime.
Filian is a good start despite her chat using sound alerts that include toilet humor. Pippa is entertaining at times. Hime Rie and Uruka do great RP skits.

total tw*tch troon death thoughbeit

Just watch clips and you'll fit right in here.

Trying to chase them away with slop?

Start with season 1 ((Kizuna Ai) the image you posted)

Try the ones you think are cute first and go from there then. Clips are a fine starting point as well for finding someone you might enjoy. Personally I started watching game playthroughs during the golden age of youtube let's plays so watching game streams are just a natural expansion from that.

just watch something that isn't streams then

just follow a vsinger and listen to her music, yapping and karaoke streams

Offline content is a thing though.

Second monitor it. Or just watch clips.
If you liked blacked porn you'll enjoy Kirsche a bit more since she's been blacked irl so it's like a cuck experience for you.

The million dollar question is
If I don't really watch streams, will I be able to stream?
>>
>>104604868
try watching collabs, when they stream with friends it can occasionally be comedy gold. i recommend some autofister for starzers
>>
I miss when following a vtuber meant maybe a half hour of prerecorded content a week instead of 12+ hours of streams per week.

I didn't watch any streamers until I started watching vtubers and I still don't
This line from American Dad summed up my feelings about streamers succinctly:
>Steve: I'm too old for this. I don't want to be around all these babies playing Pokemon...BADLY.
>This kid right here is just wasting his Charizard.
>YOU ARE WASTING YOUR CHARIZARD!

Vtubers largely replaced seasonal anime for me. I won't watch twitchslop
>>
vtubers nowadays at least are mostly about streams. sure, there is content that isn't streaming but it is less common, is not what most people will think of while hearing vtuber, and if you avoid streams you will probably have a hard time participating in any community if that's important to you.
I think the best thing you can do avoiding streams is picking some of the more music-focused ones and just treat it as you would following any other singer/artist

Don't.
Fucking don't
Get out before you start.
Watching Vtubers is like giving up on life
